Background / History

Mu Feng was a modern-Earth transmigrator who arrived in Stone Village on the Douluo Continent. He intended to seek out Huo Yuhao, but before his martial soul awakening could occur, three evil soul masters devastated the village. His adoptive parents were killed in an area attack, while the village was slaughtered within two hours. Cornered by an attacker, Mu Feng awakened his left-hand martial soul in desperation and killed two of the invaders. Yan Kun, the surviving attacker, delivered him to the Holy Spirit Cult. 1 2

At the Holy Spirit Cult's Heavenly Soul Empire branch, Mu Feng awakened twin opposing angel martial souls: Morgana in his left hand and Kayle in his right. He was imprisoned while Branch Master Ge Shuo reported his existence upward. Long Xiaoyao later removed him from the branch, discovered his innate Rank 20 soul power, and brought him before Ye Xishui and Zhongli Wu. 2 3 4

Ye Xishui named him the Holy Spirit Cult's Holy Son and personally accepted him as her disciple. She intended to cultivate him as an agent within Shrek Academy, where his identity would remain secret even from most cult members. Believing that Mu Feng could never truly belong to the cult that destroyed his home, she implanted a curse in his spiritual sea to control him. Mu Feng outwardly accepted the arrangement while privately resolving to exploit the cult's resources, survive, and eventually avenge Stone Village. 4 5

Under Ye Xishui's guidance and with Long Xiaoyao's advice, Mu Feng spent three years strengthening his body, training in combat, and cultivating with a secret art that allowed him to reach Rank 30 before acquiring soul rings. He was assigned two Soul Sage death warriors, whom he renamed Xiao Bai and Xiao Hei. 6 8 9

During a trip to the Star Dou Great Forest, Mu Feng encountered the Three-Eyed Golden Lion. Their accidental attribute guidance linked their memories and led them to swear an oath: she would protect his secrets, while he would repay the blessing she gave him. With Bi Ji's protection, he acquired three soul rings. The third absorption triggered the first trial of Kayle's Divine Ascent, a recreation of Stone Village's destruction. 12 13 14 15

Mu Feng nearly failed the trial after allowing rage and desperation to dictate his actions. Di Qiuli intervened before he could use Morgana's dark-purple mist to devour Yan Kun's spirit body. By recognizing the need for calm judgment rather than emotional vengeance, Mu Feng completed the trial and gained a major evolution of his martial soul and spiritual power. 16 17 18

He subsequently trained in intelligence transmission, painting, and Holy Spirit Cult communication methods for his future infiltration. At age eleven, he adopted a forged coastal-city identity, sought out Huo Yuhao, gained Electrolux as a resident of his spiritual sea, and enrolled in Shrek Academy at Level 39. 19 20 21 22 26

After completing the first Divine Ascent trial, Mu Feng carries a warm, sacred aura that makes others feel as though they are in a spring breeze. His refined appearance and composed demeanor contrast sharply with his association with the Holy Spirit Cult. 18 19 26

Personality

Mu Feng is pragmatic, observant, and exceptionally self-controlled for his age. Stone Village's destruction teaches him that survival and strength take precedence in the Douluo world, and he resolves to grow powerful enough to alter the continent's established order. 2

He is capable of sincere gratitude even toward people he intends to oppose. Though he hates the Holy Spirit Cult, he genuinely thanks Ye Xishui for her cultivation guidance and resources, deliberately distinguishing personal debts from his broader grudge against the cult. 5 6

Mu Feng can be calculating when necessary. He accepts the role of Holy Son and spy because it grants him access to Shrek Academy and valuable resources, studies espionage seriously, and conceals the truth of Divine Ascent from Long Xiaoyao and Bi Ji. 5 18 19

His greatest early weakness is emotional impulsiveness. During the Divine Ascent trial, his desperation to save Stone Village causes him to fall repeatedly into Yan Kun's traps and attempt a suicidal attack.
