Invitation
"That's the problem," Guilliman landed again, this time with excellent control of his power, without causing any tremors. "The increase may not be large by a small percentage, but the base number is too large."
It's like pouring a bucket of water into an already overflowing lake; the amount that overflows may not be much, but it's enough to wet the shore.
This newfound power caused a very subtle 'disharmony' in my previously flawless control over my body.
Heartbeat, blood flow, muscle tremors... these most basic life activities, due to a slight increase in total force and a temporary stagnation in control, have their energy leaked out and amplified.
He strolled to one side of the temple, where a few simple alloy tables and chairs were placed.
Scattered on the table were some Dataslate and ancient paper books—the latter being a luxury in the Warhammer Universe.
"However, this also gave me inspiration."
Guilliman picked up a yellowed scroll made of some kind of tough animal hide, on which were written obscure characters and diagrams of human anatomy in Old Terran.
"This out-of-control, overflowing power is essentially a leakage of my own life energy."
But I discovered that when this 'qi and blood' vibrated my body and the surrounding environment, it would do so in a wonderful way.
"It is reabsorbed and integrated by my cells, producing an extremely slow but real... enhancing effect."
His gaze became focused, as if a researcher had discovered a new law:
"I have read through a large number of Old Terra texts that have been unearthed, especially those fragments about 'internal training,' 'health preservation,' and 'the circulation of qi and blood.'"
Although most of them are absurd, some of the ideas are quite interesting.
I combined these concepts with the characteristics of [the body/organism] and my understanding of energy control to try to create a method for actively guiding and refining this "qi and blood."
He turned to face Yvraine, his eyes gleaming with the excitement of a successful experiment. "I will name this method the ' Blood-Qi Body Tempering Method '."
It seems to be working quite well.
Through initial practice, I have been able to control the 'one-five-hundredth' additional power with ease, preventing it from being wasted meaninglessly.
even..."
He clenched his fist, and a soft sound, like tearing fabric, filled the air.
"I feel that my use of existing power has become more refined and subtle."
He looked at Yvraine and said sincerely, "If you want to improve your physical fitness, I can teach you."
This method is theoretically not selective about race, but only has basic requirements for the strength of life energy and body control.
Yvraine's lips twitched almost imperceptibly a few times.
She had no doubt that Guilliman was telling the truth; the Primarch was always generous in sharing knowledge.
But... clearly, the prerequisites for the physical training method he described were so demanding that probably only this 'god among men' in the entire Milky Way could meet them.
She smiled bitterly to herself, 'What normal living being has a 'basic life energy intensity' that can make a heartbeat shatter dark clouds and blood flow like a rushing river?'
In a sense, this physical strength has transcended the category of ' Milky Way beings' and is approaching that of legendary cosmic entities!
"Alright," Yvraine waved her hand, regaining her dignified and elegant demeanor.
"I am a noble Eldar, and I have absolutely no interest in becoming like you... uh, 'powerful' physique."
She cleverly avoided the less-than-refined term "muscular burly man":
"If you ever develop any ' Soul Tempering Method ' or ' Psychic Essence Art,' you can let me know."
I believe the entire Craftworld Eldar will be extremely interested in this."
"That might be difficult."
Guilliman walked back to the center of the temple, the active arcs of Psionic Energy around him gradually subsiding:
"Although my current Psionic Energy is large in total, my refined operation and deep understanding are still insufficient."
Ideally... there should be some 'practice subjects'."
He looked at Yvraine, the meaning of his words self-evident.
"The ability to directly kill demons and absorb their essence to strengthen oneself... such power is truly awe-inspiring."
Yvraine sighed softly, temporarily setting aside the inherent pride of the Eldar, and uttered a sincere exclamation, "You Primarch truly deserve to be called demigods created by that Emperor."
The very fact that it 'devours demons' is beyond the comprehension of ordinary people.
She suddenly smiled, a smile carrying a complex meaning unique to the Eldar, a mixture of sorrow and mischief:
"If I could, I would really try to find a way to take you to Slaanesh's lair."
Why don't you find a way to 'swallow' him?
In that case, I guarantee that the entire Eldar —whether it's the Craftworlds, the Savage Worlds, or our Reaper Host —will forge the most magnificent statue for you and venerate you as their savior."
Guilliman laughed heartily upon hearing this, then shook his head. "Then let's skip it."
I don't want to fail to devour Him and instead be 'tasted' as dessert by Him.
He made no attempt to conceal his weakness and clear awareness in the face of the true form of the Chaos Gods.
This pragmatism earned Yvraine's silent approval.
"Alright, let's get back to the main topic, Primarch."
Yvraine's expression turned serious. "I am the leader of the Reaper Host. Time is precious."
Unlike you, a 'hands-off manager'.
She subtly nudged Guilliman, implying that he delegated most of the administrative affairs of Ultramar to his subordinates.
As she spoke, Yvraine slowly drew the "Cronesword" that she wore at her waist.
That Eldar, also known as the "Sword of Sorrow".
The sword was long and slender, its color dull like dried tears, and it was entwined with endless sorrow and the stillness of death.
She didn't point at any enemy; instead, with exquisite elegance, like the opening gesture of a dance, she lightly swept her hand across the air in front of her.
"Sizzle--"
A faint yet clear sound, like silk being torn, rang out.
Where the sword's edge slices through, reality is quietly cut open with a slit.
Without any violent energy eruption or blinding light, a "door" with flowing, ever-changing colors at its edges quietly appeared in the temple.
Inside the door lies a bizarre and indescribable shallow Warp, where color loses its meaning and flows and churns in the form of pure emotions and concepts.
Yvraine turned to face Guilliman and gave an elegant bow, a gesture of invitation from an Eldar nobleman to a dance partner, her snow-white high ponytail swaying gently with the movement.
She raised her head, her violet eyes filled with a smile that held both challenge and invitation:
"Then, esteemed Primarch, would I have the honor of inviting you to join me on a 'visit' to the shallows of this Sea of Souls?"
After all, to truly learn how to harness Psionic Energy, one must first familiarize oneself with... the environment of the 'ocean' itself, right?
There are only 6 chapters left today; it's not easy to write them during evening self-study.
I'll fight again tomorrow.
As for 5-star reviews and free gifts, I'll have to be a little shameless and ask for them.
