Ning Rongrong first appears at Shrek Academy as a poised but curious girl who questions Xiao Wu about Tang San and the mysterious Soul Power Crystal incident in Nuoding City. She later condemns Tang Hao's alleged treatment of Xiao Wu and considers Xiao Wu one of her few genuine friends at Shrek. 9 14 15

Chen Fan's ultimatum—train seriously or return to her grandfather's instruction—pushes her to confront her limits. Though initially exhausted by Zhu Zhuqing's regimen, Ning Rongrong continues training, gains a Soul Power level, and improves her physical condition. Her determination is driven in part by a desire to prove that an auxiliary Martial Soul can become strong. 21 24
