Background / History

Zi Ji was originally a Hell Demon Dragon King in the Star Dou Great Forest. Known in the Legend of the Dragon King era as the Demon Queen, she possessed pure Dragon King bloodline and formidable dark power; Di Tian regarded her highly and was emotionally attached to her. 51 92 93

Chen Fan entered the forest seeking her dark power. Zi Ji initially resisted his demands, but he implanted a Darkness Mark, compelled her sacrifice, and absorbed both her dark power and Yin Water. Her body and cultivation were lost in the process, while her soul entered Chen Fan's spiritual space. Given the choice between limited rebirth in another spirit beast body or following Chen Fan to evolve again, she chose to follow him. 61 62

The Book of Darkness recorded that her evolution would turn her into the Lord of the Underworld, wielding destructive dark power and authority over Hell. After completing her transformation, Zi Ji ceased to be a dragon or spirit beast and became a Spirit; she later assumed the title Lord of Hell. 63 68 78

Zi Ji formally severed her connection to the Star Dou Great Forest, declaring that abandoning her dragon bloodline and following Chen Fan had been her own choice. During her return, she defeated Di Tian in battle and sought out Bi Ji, whom she hoped to recruit into the Darkness God Cult. 92 93

Zi Ji is a tall, mature woman with purple hair, purple eyes, and a graceful, curvaceous build. Her appearance changed substantially after her evolution from the Hell Demon Dragon King into the Lord of Hell. 60 92 203

Personality

Zi Ji is initially wary, proud, and fiercely resistant to Chen Fan's control. She considers sacrifice equivalent to annihilation and tries to resist before the Darkness Mark prevents her from using her power. 61 62

After her evolution, she becomes deeply loyal to Chen Fan and the Darkness God Cult. She describes him as a powerful but benevolent figure capable of saving the realm, and refuses Di Tian's attempts to draw her back into the Star Dou Great Forest. 93

Despite her loyalty, Zi Ji remains competitive and assertive. She is easily annoyed when compared to other women, is openly jealous of Chen Fan's attention toward Tang Yuehua, and later becomes more direct about her own feelings and position. 76 119 123 124

Evolution and Sea God Island

Following her transformation, Zi Ji joins Chen Fan and Little Yin on their sea voyage. She helps drive away the Deep Sea Demon Whale King, assists in the conquest of Sea God Island, and provides the Dragon King Dimension Wave that Chen Fan uses against the Sea God. 70 74

Lord of Hell
