First I'll Kill You, Then Slaughter Konoha's Four Old Dogs

Itachi Uchiha clenched his fists tightly, his gaze fixed on Uchiha Shadian.

Uchiha Shadian spoke indifferently. "You're furious because Sasuke is dead, aren't you?"

Itachi Uchiha shouted, "Sasuke was still so young. He was innocent. He should have lived."

"Hahaha." Uchiha Shadian sneered disdainfully. "What a ridiculous joke. What about the other young children in the clan?"

"Some of them were even younger and more innocent than Sasuke. Didn't they deserve to live? Why did you mercilessly wipe them out? Were they not innocent too?"

"How can they compare to Sasuke?" Itachi Uchiha said.

"And Father and Mother loved you so much. Their love for you even surpassed their love for Sasuke and me. Yet you killed them too, Uncle. I can't understand it. They clearly loved you so much."

Uchiha Shadian looked at him coldly. "The clansmen loved you too, yet you slaughtered them without mercy all the same."

"That's not..." Itachi Uchiha wanted to argue, but he could not bring himself to speak.

Uchiha Shadian was right. Compared to the other kindhearted clansmen, he had favored his younger brother more and hoped Sasuke could continue living in Konoha.

"Uncle, they were your family too." After a long silence, pain showed on Itachi Uchiha's face.

With Sasuke dead, he felt as though he had lost the strength to go on living.

After killing so many clansmen tonight, his sins were grave. The only thing that could have motivated him to keep living was continuing to protect Sasuke in the darkness and waiting for him to grow up. But now, everything had become a dream.

"So evil, so fierce. What kind of sword is this?"

The sinister killing intent rushed toward him. Itachi Uchiha could feel as though blades were scraping across his skin.

That sword was dangerous.

Itachi Uchiha leaped backward several steps, decisively widening the distance between himself and Uchiha Shadian.

"You're quite alert." Seeing Itachi Uchiha pull away so decisively, Uchiha Shadian praised him before dense blue lightning erupted from his body. "Azure Dragon Break."

Countless bolts of blue lightning gathered into dragon-like streams, continuously blasting the ground along their path as they surged toward Itachi Uchiha.

Itachi Uchiha's pupils shifted slightly. As the lightning struck him, his body instantly scattered into countless crows.

The crows gathered atop a utility pole, and Itachi Uchiha's figure emerged from among them.

"Quick reactions, but what about this attack?" Just as Itachi Uchiha's figure fully appeared, Uchiha Shadian's voice suddenly sounded behind him.

Itachi Uchiha's eyes widened as he looked back in disbelief. Uchiha Shadian was holding a rapidly spinning Rasengan in his hand and thrusting it toward him.

Itachi Uchiha had no time to consider how Uchiha Shadian had appeared behind him in an instant. His pupils contracted as his Mangekyo Sharingan's ocular power erupted. In a flash, a skeletal frame rose up and encased his body.

The Rasengan struck the skeletal frame with an explosion, producing a massive cloud of smoke that engulfed them both.
