Chapter Summaries

Harry and his friends were captured and taken to Malfoy Manor, where Bellatrix interrogated Hermione over the sword and Sorting Hat. After Harry used a shard from Hermione’s beaded bag to call for help, Darren arrived and prepared to rescue Hermione.

• Lucius nearly ordered Harry and the others imprisoned, but Bellatrix recognized Harry and then stopped Narcissa from summoning the Dark Lord when she spotted the sword and Sorting Hat.
• Bellatrix stunned the wizards, took the sword, and ordered Hermione kept for questioning while Harry and Ron were sent to the dungeon.
• Harry found Luna, Ollivander, and Griphook in the dungeon, and Griphook told Bellatrix the sword and Sorting Hat were fake.
