Ollivander nodded. "Yes, that is how it works. Their owner is now Darren, because Darren defeated their masters.
I once said that the wand chooses the wizard. When a wand is taken, its master changes as well."
"Are all wands like that?"
Harry asked, puzzled.
Ollivander shook his head.
He looked at Darren's wand.
He said softly, "In principle, Eastern and Western wands work much the same way, but Eastern wands place greater emphasis on loyalty.
That is why Eastern wands rarely change masters.
But Eastern wands seldom make their way here. I was quite surprised at the time that they gave me the Azure Dragon's reverse scale.
Perhaps they had taken a liking to Darren long ago. Perhaps they believed Darren would win!"
Darren fell silent.
After a long while, he suddenly asked, "Then would the Elder Wand change masters if it were taken?"
"I believe so, because that wand is usually accompanied by death and war."
Ollivander nodded. Darren nodded as well.

He grew furious.
He should have locked Darren Potter away more securely. He should have made him obediently stay by his side.

He already knew where the Elder Wand was.
He could finally kill Harry Potter for good!
