History

Rise through the Xiao Clan

The Wang Clan began as a small, remote Da Dou Shi family. Wang Gang, a member of a distant collateral branch who received no clan resources, left to seek opportunities. After meeting Xiao Ya in the Magical Beast Mountain Range and joining the Xiao Clan through her, he became the crucial link behind the Wang Clan's rise. 147

The Wang Clan's direct line later approached Wang Gang to establish ties with the Xiao Clan. The former Xiao Clan patriarch accepted the Wang Clan as an affiliate out of consideration for Wang Gang, allowing it to establish itself in Jia Ma Imperial City. With this support, its old patriarch broke through to Dou Ling. 144 147

During this period, collateral branches benefited alongside the direct line and held resources and influence comparable to it. 145 147

Betrayal and Internal Suppression

After the Xiao Clan's old patriarch died and the clan fell into decline, the Wang Clan seized Xiao Clan resources rather than repaying its patron's support. 144

The direct line viewed the increasingly powerful collateral branches as a threat to its authority. Wang Po, identified as the old patriarch encountered by Wang Chen, admitted that he led direct-line experts in ambushing and killing Wang Gang; the direct line then suppressed the collateral branches and reclaimed their resources. 150

Branch members who had prospered through Wang Gang were particularly targeted. Wang Lin's dantian and meridians were destroyed, leaving him crippled and living with his daughter in a dilapidated residence within the clan grounds. 145 147

Wang Chen's Investigation and Reorganization

Wang Chen investigated the clan because of its betrayal of the Xiao Clan and its connection to his father's death. Following Wang Lin's information, he discovered Wang Po operating a hidden Blood Pool beneath the clan grounds, with captives being drained of blood. 144 149

Wang Po confessed to organizing Wang Gang's murder for the direct line's control over the clan. Wang Chen executed Wang Po and the other identified culprits, freed the Blood Pool captives, and honored his promise not to harm uninvolved members. 150

Wang Chen then placed Wang Lin in charge of reorganizing the clan, providing a Dou Zong-level Heavenly Demon Puppet to deter resistance. Wang Lin purged those who had persecuted the collateral branches and incorporated the remaining members and new branch families. 150 151

Later Development

Wang Lin continued cultivating with Wang Chen's resources and governed the rebuilt clan. Its members recognized Wang Chen as their principal benefactor and were ordered to immediately report his arrival. 158 196
