Background

Qing Lin was born with mixed human and Snake People blood. Rejected by the Snake People Tribe and treated as a monster in human cities because of her scales, she was abandoned as a child and survived by begging in Shi Mo City. 163

Queen Medusa sensed a faint bloodline connection to Qing Lin and approached her. After Medusa revealed the scales on her own arm, Qing Lin immediately began to trust her as family and agreed to leave with her. 162 163

Wang Chen recognized Qing Lin's Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils and persuaded Queen Medusa to bring her along rather than leave her in the High Priestess's care. He identified her as a rare talent capable of becoming a powerful helper. 163
