Hermione took Muya out of the castle, and they saw Harry and Ron at the entrance.
"Hi, Mya Mu," the two greeted her together.
"Thank you for inviting me, Ron and Harry." Muya took out a handful of lemon Snow Treasure Candy she had mooched off Old Mischief-Maker Dumbledore, her current guardian, Old Bee, and gave each of them one.
"Thank you, Mya Mu." The three of them excitedly hugged her.
Muya: Alright, alright, I've received your happiness, but this is a little tight.
Children really were more innocent. Muya patted their heads with feigned maturity. "It's nothing. If you like them, I'll go to the Headmaster's office—ah, no, I'll just ask my guardian for more."
She had nearly let it slip. Muya patted her chest.
"Merlin! You're so generous!" Ron eagerly stuffed the candy into his mouth.
Harry and Hermione put theirs away first. "Let's go find Hagrid. He must have been waiting for a long time."
Muya nodded and followed them to a cottage at the edge of the Forbidden Forest.
Muya's eyes lit up when she saw the enormous pumpkins filling the yard. So she could clear land and grow vegetables at school too. Maybe she could borrow some tools from Hagrid first, then bring some seeds from home. She could already picture herself diligently tending her own little vegetable patch in the future.
"Oh, Harry, you've brought your friends!" A rough, booming voice dragged Muya out of her pleasant fantasy.
A tall, burly figure suddenly appeared in the doorway. What? No one had told her Hagrid was a giant! That Old Mischief-Maker Dumbledore had even said Hogwarts was the safest place in the world.
Those were Muya's final thoughts before she fainted.
"Mya Mu!"
"Why did she suddenly collapse?"
"Oh, what's wrong with this little wizard? Did she suddenly get sick?"
"Should we take her to the School Hospital?"
"N-no need." Muya struggled to stretch out a Kang hand, stopping Hermione, who was about to run back toward the castle.
Inside Hagrid's cottage, Muya hugged a cup of hot milk and was so embarrassed she wanted to dig herself into the floor. She had actually fainted just because Hagrid was a giant. He was clearly so kind and friendly, though judging by his appearance alone...
"Sorry, Hagrid..." Muya apologized to Hagrid, who was busy in the kitchen.
"Oh, you don't need to apologize. I was the one who accidentally scared you, Mya Mu." Muya somehow detected a trace of grievance in his voice.
"But actually, I'm very happy to have you young wizards visit me. Freshly baked Rock Cakes—would you like a piece?" Hagrid picked up a large cake that looked rather good and asked the four of them.
"I want one!" Muya eagerly raised her hand. It looked pretty tasty.
The other three copied Muya and raised their hands, waiting to be fed. Hagrid grinned and gave each of them a Rock Cake.
Muya picked hers up and took a bite. Good grief, it was so hard her teeth nearly chipped. Hermione and the others covered their mouths in pain as well.
"Hagrid, how can this thing be so hard?" Ron even started grinding at it with his teeth, but the Rock Cake remained completely unscathed.
"Ahahaha, it's just right for me." Hagrid took a bite with a crunch.
Muya gave Hagrid a thumbs-up. "Hagrid, you really do have strong teeth."
"Maybe... you can soak it in milk before eating it?" As she spoke, Muya dipped one corner of the Rock Cake into her milk.
"Not bad. You can bite through it now. Hagrid, your cooking is really good." With that, Muya continued eating bite after bite.
Before leaving Hagrid's cottage, Muya asked Hagrid for a few more Rock Cakes and asked whether she could borrow some farming tools from him. He happily agreed.
The four returned to their respective House tables in the Great Hall, and Muya shared the Rock Cakes they had brought back with her friends.
"What is this, Mya Mu? Did you make it yourself?" Hannah asked, holding a Rock Cake.
"Hagrid gave them to us," Cedric said as he accepted the Rock Cake Muya handed him. "But not many people besides Hagrid have tasted them, because they're too hard."
"Huh? Mya Mu, did you bring them back for us because you hadn't bitten into one yourself?" Sean propped himself against the table with one hand and used the other to pick up a Rock Cake and knock it against the table, producing a weighty bang bang.
Muya shook her head gravely at them. "Actually, I just tasted one. It's delicious. You only need to soak it in milk first."
No one doubted her. After all, Hufflepuff was famous for loyalty and honesty. They followed Muya's method, and in the end, they all tasted the deliciousness of the Rock Cakes.
Defense Against the Dark Arts is this afternoon! Muya thought. Could it be that the professor would fire Dark Magic at us and make us defend ourselves? Or the other way around?
Come to think of it, what was Dark Magic like? Gutana, God of Darkness, Dark Magic transformation?
Muya smiled as she thought about it. Shalian assumed she was happy because they were about to have Defense Against the Dark Arts.
"Don't get happy too early. Senior Sean said that the new Professor Quirrell reeks of garlic." Shalian's expression turned a little unpleasant.
Muya thought it was fine. It was just the smell of garlic. Could there be vampires in this world, and perhaps this professor was terribly afraid of them?
"Shalian, are there vampires in this world?" Muya asked as they walked.
"There are." Sure enough, it was just as Muya had guessed.
When they arrived at the classroom, Muya saw a group of students dressed in green sitting on the right.
"We're having class with Slytherin today," Susan said after sitting down. Muya glanced over and felt that the Slytherin students all seemed rather arrogant.
"I can't believe we're having class with Hufflepuff. I'd rather keep attending with those stupid lions from Gryffindor." A platinum-haired boy spoke up.
Muya looked at him. He was quite a cute child. Too bad he had a mouth.
"S-students, turn your books to, to page seven. T-today we'll be learning..." Muya had not expected Professor Quirrell to stutter. She instantly felt a little sorry for him.
Sigh, a middle-aged male professor who was afraid of vampires and stuttered had to teach in this ancient castle while enduring the students' dislike.
Oh... but listening to him read really was... kind of hypnotic.
After class, Muya rubbed her eyes and was about to leave with Shalian and the others when she accidentally bumped into someone.
"Sorry, I didn't see you when I stood up just now." Since it was her fault, Muya hurriedly apologized.
"It's fine." It was a boy. He glanced at Muya, then left.
"Theodore, what were you spacing out for just now?" It was that platinum-haired little boy whose mouth was such a waste. Come to think of it, had he used hair gel? His hair looked as smooth as an eggshell.
"Nothing. I accidentally bumped into someone," the boy called Theodore said calmly.
