The sound of the Basilisk moving was infinitely amplified by the vastness underground. The four young wizards huddled close together while Tom swirled the wineglass in his hand, looking perfectly at ease.
As the Basilisk's enormous body drew near, Tom spoke a line of Parseltongue.
"He told the Basilisk to shrink itself," Harry explained to the three bewildered others.
Tom was not looking at them. Instead, he conjured a slightly thick rectangular block out of thin air and moved his hand across its surface.
Noticing that Tom had stopped speaking, Muya glanced aside and discovered that he had actually brought her iPad out with him.
Muya turned her head back around, and Tom lowered his head with a faint curl of his lips.
Muya took out a pen from her bag. Seeing everyone's confusion, she introduced it herself. "This is a new product developed by Mr. Twins and me: a recording pen."
"It can record anything you want to document." She used her wand to send the recording pen directly above the Basilisk. About five minutes later, the pen flew back on its own.
"That should do it." Muya looked at Tom.
Tom waved his hand and had the Basilisk return to sleep. Then he noticed Muya was still looking at him. "Is there anything else you need my help with?"
"Alchemy Materials." Muya spread her hands. To make a fake Basilisk, they would definitely need enough Alchemy Materials.
Tom: "..."
Muya gave him a thumbs-up and commented: Senior really knows himself well.
On the way out, Muya worried that the Basilisk's ugly and terrifying appearance might have seriously traumatized Harry and the other two's young hearts.
She was just about to comfort them when she saw that all three were rosy-cheeked and visibly excited.
...She had worried for nothing.
