Tom spotted the problem at a glance.

Over the next few days, after the two of them assembled, modified, and inspected it, they finally reached the last stage on the final day of Christmas.

"Alright, now you need to install the most important part—the eyes." Muya sat on the sofa, eating chips.

"Oh, I'll do it in a while."

Muya nodded.

A while later, Muya and Tom went to install the eyes together.

Muya took out her recording quill and directed Tom as she compared it with the notes, "Move it a little more."

The completed fake Basilisk was only half the size of the real one, but it was enough.

The Basilisk crawled onto Tom's wrist.

Tom curled his lips into a smile and tapped the fake Basilisk with his glowing green wand again.

The fake Basilisk immediately began to sway as though it had come to life.

Muya stretched, got to her feet, and clapped her hands. "Alright, work's done."

Muya put away the fake Basilisk, then let the real Basilisk follow Tom by default. "Let's go."

Two days later, Fudge arrived at Hogwarts. Dumbledore had informed Muya beforehand.

"Oh, Headmaster Dumbledore, I believe I made myself very clear in my letter. I came here to learn about the condition of the petrified student." Fudge adjusted his glasses and looked at Dumbledore.

"Of course, Minister Fudge." Dumbledore blinked.

"That student has already recovered. Would you like me to call him over?" he
