Dumbledore had all the wizards return to the Great Hall. "The staff and I will conduct a thorough search of the castle."
McGonagall and Flitwick closed the doors to the Great Hall. "For everyone's safety, you may have to spend the night here. The prefects will stand guard at the entrance to the Great Hall, while the Head Boy and Girl will remain inside to keep order."
McGonagall looked at Percy. "If anything happens, remember to tell me immediately. Find a ghost to deliver the message."
Before leaving, Dumbledore moved all the long tables and benches to the sides of the Great Hall, then spread hundreds of purple sleeping bags across the floor. "I believe you'll need these. Sleep well."
After he left, he casually shut the doors behind him. Whispers immediately rose throughout the Great Hall, and Percy shouted, "No more talking! Lights out in ten minutes!"
"Prefect, two students from our house are missing. Your twin brothers aren't here," said a helpful Gryffindor student.
"What?!" Percy frowned deeply. He could probably guess what the two of them had gone off to do. Two words: sneaking out.
He rubbed his brow in frustration. Just as he was about to find a ghost to send a message to McGonagall, the doors to the Great Hall opened, and three people walked in—his brothers and Mya Mu.
In an instant, everyone's eyes turned toward the three of them. Percy stepped forward. "Where did you go?"
"The kitchen."
"We asked the house-elves for some food."
Fred and George lied so naturally that Muya was stunned. When Percy looked at her, she instinctively straightened up. Then, suddenly, a hand settled on her shoulder.
Cedric's gentle voice came from above her head. "Weasley, Ya Ya is a Hufflepuff student. I'll take her back first."
