Background / History
Qing Xuanzi was a transmigrator who first arrived in Chaos as a mortal. He traveled alongside Pangu for tens of millions of years without advancing, surviving the baptism of Chaos through unusual longevity. When Pangu opened the sky, Pangu directed him toward the Dao of Man and sent him to become one of the three thousand Congenital Humans created by Nüwa. Qing Xuanzi was the only one born a Golden Immortal. 1
Nüwa offered him a place in her palace, but he declined. Dao Ancestor Hongjun subsequently accepted him as his final disciple. Qing Xuanzi helped the newly born Human Race establish a settlement and taught basic survival skills, driven by his wish to prevent the innate Human Race from declining as it had in his previous life. 1
His path repeatedly brought him into conflict with the Heavenly Dao. When pressed on whether “heaven is before man,” he answered, “For the Human Race, yes,” preserving his position while refusing to wholly submit humanity’s future to Heaven. 1 He later established the Human Race Dao Palace and laid down two foundational rules: immortals must not betray the Human Race or excessively interfere with its development. 7
Qing Xuanzi became a central planner for the Primordial Era’s defense and evolution. He organized alliances among the Human Race, Witch Race, Demon Clan, and the Three Teachings; opposed Chaos Demon Gods and the Heavenly Dao Sect; prepared the Dao Palace Great World as a refuge; and was willing to abandon the old Primordial Era’s shell if its people, spiritual veins, and Three Daos could survive elsewhere. 90 129 133 135
Personality
Qing Xuanzi is calculating, provocative, and exceptionally patient. He routinely turns opponents’ ambitions, oaths, and assumptions against them, from swindling Jie Yin and Zhunti into surrendering the Twelve-Petal Golden Lotus to manipulating larger conflicts between the Heavenly Dao, Chaos Demon Gods, and the Heavenly Dao Sect. 5 6 89 139
Despite his ruthlessness toward enemies, his long-term decisions consistently prioritize the Human Race’s survival and the revival of Human Dao. He builds contingencies, shelters the three thousand Congenital Humans, distributes cultivation resources, and prepares entire worlds for evacuation rather than rely on a single victory. 7 52 95 133
He is also irreverent toward authority. Qing Xuanzi openly mocks powerful foes, including the Heavenly Dao and Qi Nong, while remaining composed under their pressure. 22 81 119
