Background / History

Nüwa created the Human Race and became a Saint immediately afterward, turning the sky above the Great Desolation purple. Among her three thousand newly created humans, she noticed Qing Xuanzi as the sole being born a Golden Immortal rather than a mortal. She offered him cultivation in Nüwa Palace, but he declined to remain with the Human Race. 1

She later protected the Human Race by decree for ten thousand years and continued to take an active interest in Qing Xuanzi's efforts to develop it. She sent him the Mountains and Rivers State Diagram through Azure Luan, though the treasure retained her primordial-spirit imprint. 1 7

As Qing Xuanzi became Hongjun's disciple, Nüwa accepted being addressed as his senior sister. Hongjun regarded her as the one among the Six Sages most capable of fully assisting Qing Xuanzi against the Heavenly Dao. 10 19

Nüwa relocated her Dao field to Shouyang Mountain beside the Human Race Dao Palace, supporting Qing Xuanzi and the Human Race despite the strain caused by multiple Saints gathering there. 23

During the later revival of the Human Dao, Qing Xuanzi designated her its spokesperson. He considered her a suitable representative because, although the Human Dao is based on humanity, it must remain impartial toward all races; as the Human Race's creator, Nüwa could represent it without Qing Xuanzi's direct racial bias. 129

Appearance

Nüwa is repeatedly described as a beautiful goddess with fair skin, rosy lips, and expressive beautiful eyes. 19 23 42

  • Her eyes are described as widening or glaring when displeased. 23 24
  • Her small mouth and fair complexion are specifically noted during her reaction to Qing Xuanzi's explanation of enlightenment. 42
  • She can alter her appearance when investigating the Human Race in secret. 112

Personality

Nüwa is perceptive, knowledgeable, and protective of the Human Race. She recognized Qing Xuanzi's unusual nature at his birth, offered him a place in her palace, and later dedicated more attention to humanity than to Demon Clan affairs. 1 112

She is also direct and easily irritated by Qing Xuanzi's careless wording or recklessness. She rebukes his crude attempt to break restrictions on a Creation Jade Plate Fragment, warns him against harboring killing intent, and presses him to share his insights rather than carry burdens alone. 19 24 113

Her relationship with Qing Xuanzi is playful but emotionally close. She often teases him, expects respect as his senior sister, and openly embraces him after his hundred-thousand-year seclusion. 10 23 115
