Background / History

For sixteen years, Kokichi lived in an underground medical chamber, his body wrapped in blood-soaked bandages and sustained by life-support equipment. His condition left only one eye and his right arm relatively intact, driving his desperate wish to obtain an ordinary body. To achieve that goal, he entered a Binding Vow with Mahito. 3 4

During the Goodwill Event, Shiyue Shuo contacted Kokichi through a Mechamaru sensor and offered him an alternative alliance. Shiyue knew both about Kokichi's condition and his agreement with Mahito, arguing that cursed spirits could not be trusted. Kokichi initially lashed out at Shiyue's inability to understand his suffering, but accepted the offer after learning that Shiyue could restore his body. 3

Shiyue healed Kokichi with the Horse Talisman shortly before Mahito and Kenjaku arrived to punish him for betraying their agreement. Restored to a complete body, Kokichi immediately entered Ultimate Mechamaru and fought Kenjaku's cursed spirits while Shiyue battled Mahito. Their combined assault broke Mahito's domain and forced both enemies to retreat. 4

When questioned by the higher-ups, Kokichi concealed Shiyue's role in his recovery. He claimed that he had driven Mahito and Kenjaku away by trading ten years of future cursed-energy output for power, then accepted a Binding Vow of obedience to secure his release. 6

Appearance

After his restoration, Kokichi is a delicate, fair-skinned young man who wears a fitted Kyoto Jujutsu High uniform. He is first seen standing barefoot after experiencing the outside world with a complete body for the first time. 4 9

Kokichi is especially affected by Kasumi Miwa's kindness.
