Going Back to Her Parents' Home to Meet the Father-in-Law
Earth- Earth-65, New York.
The universe is painted like a watercolor, with neon lights casting soft patches of color in the night rain.
In an old apartment building in Queens.
New York Police Department George Stacy Daisy sat on the sofa. He wore a slightly wrinkled shirt, held a cup of now-cold black coffee, and stared blankly at a group photo on the coffee table.
The photo shows him with Gwen, who was still in high school.
"Bang."
George Stacy put down his coffee cup and rubbed his temples. There's been a lot of trouble at the bureau lately.
Buzz--!
Just then, the air in the center of the living room suddenly distorted.
A spatial portal emitting a ghostly green light appeared out of thin air.
George Stacy tensed up, and out of the instincts of a veteran policeman, he instantly drew his sidearm from his waist and aimed it at the portal.
Two figures walked out of the door.
"Dad."
Wearing a black and white battle suit and with her hood removed, Gwen looked at her father, who was holding a gun, and her eyes reddened.
George Stacy froze. His gun hung in mid-air, his lips trembled, and then he shoved the gun back into its holster, strode forward, and hugged his daughter tightly.
Gwen leaned on her father's broad shoulders, greedily savoring this long-lost family affection.
The father and daughter lingered for a moment.
George Stacy took a deep breath to calm himself. He released Gwen and looked sharply over his daughter's shoulder at the young man in black standing behind her.
Jiang Li.
"It's you again, you brat."
He had his hands in his trench coat pockets and spoke in a friendly tone, "Good evening, Sheriff George Stacy. The security is better in the Main Universe, Gwen can get a good night's sleep there. That's why I brought her back to see you as soon as I had some free time."
"Have a seat. I'll get you some water." George Stacy turned and headed towards the kitchen.
Gwen pulled Jiang Li to sit down on the sofa, and the two smiled at each other.
However, this warmth did not last long.
When George Stacy came out of the kitchen carrying two glasses of water.
Boom--!!!
The floor-to-ceiling windows in the apartment's living room, along with the entire load-bearing wall, shattered without warning!
Amidst a flurry of flying glass shards and bricks, an enormous black shadow crashed into the living room like a cannonball.
A fierce wind swept in, completely tearing apart the watercolor-like night sky.
"Who goes there?!"
Sheriff George Stacy was horrified, dropping his water glass and shattering it on the floor. He instantly drew his gun and shielded Gwen behind him.
The smoke and dust cleared.
A man nearly 2.5 meters tall, with a physique even more imposing than a brown bear, slowly straightened up.
He was wearing an extremely out-of-place Victorian-era retro suit, his face was deathly pale, but his muscles stretched the suit so much it looked like it was about to burst.
Daemos, the second-in-command of the Inheritors, is a butcher who enjoys pure violence and the torture of Spider-Man.
"What a wonderful taste..."
Daemos took a deep breath, his scarlet eyes fixed on Gwen.
"A pure Spider-Totem, and a top-quality one at that, freed from the shackles of fate. Morlun was right, this mission has been a veritable feast."
"Don't move! Hands over your head!" Sheriff George Stacy gripped his gun with both hands, aiming at Daemos' massive frame.
"Humans? What a disappointing reptile."
Without even glancing at George Stacy, Daemos suddenly raised his hand and waved it in the air.
A terrifying shockwave erupted instantly, sending Sheriff George Stacy and his gun flying. He crashed heavily into the wall behind him, groaned, and slid to the ground.
"Dad!" Gwen exclaimed, and two spider Silk shot out from her wrists, heading straight for Daemos ' face.
"Too weak, Spider-Man. Your attacks are nothing more than a tickle to me!"
Daemos laughed wildly, neither dodging nor avoiding. The Silk stuck to his face, but he simply reached out and ripped it off with a casual flick of his Silk.
The bodies of the Inheritors are said to be so strong that even the Hulk cannot easily break them. In their presence, Spider-Man's pride and agility seem like laughable acrobatics.
Daemos bent his knees slightly, his massive body vanishing from its spot in an instant, carrying a suffocating sense of oppression as he charged directly at Gwen, his huge hand like an iron clamp reaching for her neck.
It was too fast. Gwen's Spider-Sense was screaming alarms, but her body had no time to react.
Just as that pale, large hand was about to touch Gwen...
A long, slender hand with distinct knuckles appeared out of thin air and gripped Daemos ' wrist with remarkable precision.
Bang!
It was accompanied by an extremely muffled explosion.
Daemos' terrifying charge, powerful enough to smash a building, came to an abrupt halt less than half a meter from Gwen.
Daemos was stunned.
He looked down and saw the young man in black who had been standing beside him holding his wrist with one hand.
No matter how much he tried to unleash the terrifying power within him that had absorbed countless spiders, that seemingly ordinary hand remained unmoved, like an insurmountable divine iron wall.
"Which sewer did you crawl out of?"
Jiang Li exerted a little force, and Daemos' seemingly indestructible wrist bones actually made a cracking sound as they couldn't bear the strain.
"You've dirtied my father-in-law's carpet. How many lives are you prepared to pay for it?"
