Who's the Real Vampire?
"Snap!"
The sound of bones cracking was extremely crisp in the living room.
The arrogance on Daemos' face froze instantly.
His thick wrist was crushed by the seemingly ordinary human in front of him with a single hand!
"Ah--! You damned ant!"
The excruciating pain caused Daemos to roar like Beast. He did not back down, but instead opened his other hand and fiercely grabbed at Jiang Li's face.
An eerie red light shone from his palm. It was the instinct of the Inheritors — Life-Force Drain. No matter how strong the opponent's body was, as long as they made contact, their life force would be instantly drained.
"So what if you're not a totem! I'll suck you dry until you're a dried-up corpse!"
Daemos pressed his hand firmly on Jiang Li's shoulder, frantically activating his absorption ability.
However, one second passed. Two seconds passed.
Jiang Li stood still, not even blinking. The vast energy within him, like an Omniverse, was something Daemos couldn't absorb at all. Instead, he felt as if his palm was pressed against a steel plate of absolute zero, with a bone-chilling coldness running up his arm straight to his heart.
"Have you had enough?"
Jiang Li tilted his head slightly, looking at the horrified Daemos with a chilling gaze.
"You... what exactly are you?!" Daemos finally panicked. He tried to pull his hand back, but found that Jiang Li's five fingers were locked on him like iron clamps.
Jiang Li yanked his left hand, pulling Daemos' massive body toward himself, then raised his right leg and slammed his knee into Daemos ' abdomen like a cannonball.
Boom!
A visible shockwave exploded behind Daemos.
Daemos coughed up a mouthful of blood, his massive 2.5-meter frame flying backward and crashing into the torrential rain outside through the shattered French window.
"Jiang Li!" Gwen quickly ran over and helped Sheriff George Stacy up from the ground.
"Take care of your dad. I'm going out to take out the trash."
Jiang Li behind a sentence and jumped down through the gap in the apartment building.
Streetlights flicker on the streets of Queens on a rainy night.
Daemos climbed out of the crater in the tarmac. The powerful regenerative abilities of the Inheritors were allowing his broken wrist to heal rapidly.
He looked at Jiang Li descending from the sky and completely abandoned his arrogance.
"No wonder Morlun can't forget you. Your physical body is indeed very strong. But against our Inheritors, any purely physical resistance is futile!"
Daemos roared, his muscles bulging once more, ready to launch a relentless charge.
Jiang Li did not adopt a fighting stance. He slowly raised his left hand and pressed his thumb on the watch face.
"They maintain their immortality by absorbing the life force of others... To put it bluntly, they're just a bunch of giant Leech hiding in the sewers."
Buzz--!
A ghostly green light suddenly erupted in the rainy night, instantly illuminating half a block.
The green light dissipated.
Jiang Li disappeared. Standing in the same spot was a tall, slender figure dressed in something resembling a Western aristocratic suit.
His face was pale, his eyes glowed with an eerie green light, and two sharp fangs protruded from his mouth. Behind him, a pair of enormous, bat-like wings slowly unfurled in the rain.
Galvan System, vampire aliens.
[Whampire (Whampire)]!
"You dare call yourselves predators in the face of true pure-blooded vampires of the universe?"
Jiang Li's magnetic yet chilling voice pierced through the rain.
Daemos paused for a moment, then gave a cruel sneer, "Playing tricks! Die!"
His massive body instantly covered a distance of more than ten meters, his fists slamming down on Jiang Li's head with a whistling sound as they tore through the air.
Jiang Li did not dodge.
He simply spread his arms wide, and his huge fleshy wings flapped suddenly from behind.
Call--!
An invisible infrasound wave and energy field instantly enveloped Daemos.
Daemos' fist, which was halfway through its swing, suddenly froze in mid-air.
He stared in horror, his eyes wide with terror. He could feel the immense life force within him, which he had been so proud of and which he had absorbed over thousands of years, draining away at an alarming rate!
"What... what is this?!"
Daemos looked down and saw wisps of red energy being forcibly drawn from his seven orifices and continuously gathering in Jiang Li's palm.
Reverse extraction!
The Inheritors have always treated others as food, but today, for the first time, Daemos experienced the despair of being "food."
"No... stop! Stop now!"
Daemos' massive body began to tremble violently, his once full muscles withered at a visible rate, and his skin became as wrinkled as withered tree bark.
Jiang Li hovered in mid-air, looking down at him.
"With such little vitality, it's not even enough to fill a tooth gap."
Jiang Li clenched his fist, severing the absorption.
thump.
Daemos collapsed into the puddle like a lump of mud. He wasn't dead, but Jiang Li had drained ninety percent of his energy. Now, he couldn't even beat an ordinary person.
Jiang Li landed in front of him, stomped on Daemos's withered head, and pressed his face firmly into the mud.
"I'll spare your dog's life."
Jiang Li bent down, his eyes icy and piercing.
"Go back to your old lair called Earth-001. And give a message to your chieftain and that guy named Morlun."
"Just tell them if you get hungry..."
Jiang Li exerted a slight force with his foot, causing Daemos ' skull to crack.
"Wash your necks clean and wait in your lair. I'll personally come and Leech you all out one by one and crush you to death. Understand?"
"I...I understand..." Daemos let out a weak wail from the mud.
Jiang Li moved his foot away.
Daemos felt as if he had been granted a pardon. With his last ounce of strength, he pulled out an extremely ancient interdimensional teleportation device and scrambled away, disappearing into a crack.
Seeing his prey escape, Jiang Li deactivated his transformation.
He looked up at the broken floor-to-ceiling windows of the apartment building and shook his head helplessly.
"We need to find a better renovation team."
A few minutes later, Jiang Li returned to the apartment living room.
Gwen was anxiously checking Sheriff George Stacy's injuries.
Seeing Jiang Li return unharmed, Gwen breathed a long sigh of relief and threw herself into his arms.
"It's alright." Jiang Li patted her back.
Then, Jiang Li walked to the sofa and looked at Sheriff George Stacy.
He reached out his hand, and a gentle, green healing energy emanated from the watch face, slowly seeping into George Stacy's body.
Sheriff George Stacy touched his chest and looked out at the deserted streets.
George Stacy stood up and looked at Jiang Li and his daughter.
"I don't care if you're an alien or a god. I'm just asking you one question: do you stand by what you just said?"
"You just called me father-in-law."
Sheriff George Stacy's face was stern, but a hint of a smile lurked in his eyes. "Since you've called her that, if Gwen suffers any injustice in the future, I don't care how strong you are; my sidearm isn't just for show."
Jiang Li was taken aback at first, then he and Gwen exchanged a smile.
"Don't worry." Jiang Li nodded very seriously.
