Cooling Down the Lord of the Universe

Purple lightning exploded in the cramped cabin, and the terrifying energy backlash caused the entire refugee ship to groan under its strain.

The smoke of battle has cleared.

Thanos remained standing in the same spot. His left hand, holding the Infinity Gauntlet, was slightly charred, and wisps of smoke rose from his golden half-armor. Yet, his body, as hard as granite, bore not a single noticeable wound.

The light from the Power Stone flowed around his fingertips, forming a thin purple shield that absorbed the rebounding attack.

"A clever trick."

Thanos dusted off his shoulders, his tone still calm, but the indifference in his pale purple eyes had vanished completely, replaced by a chilling killing intent born of offense. "You've successfully caught my attention, Earthling."

"Father, please allow me to kill him!"

Cull Obsidian, blasted against the wall, roared and struggled to his feet, brandishing his chain mace and preparing to charge. Ebony Maw also wore a grim expression, and the surrounding metal debris slowly rose under his telekinesis, transforming into countless sharp blades.

"No."

Thanos raised his hand, silencing his minions. He glanced at the trembling ship's structure, a cruel smile curving his lips.

"This ship is too fragile; it cannot withstand the battlefield of the gods."

He pressed the communicator in his ear and gave orders to "Sanctuary II," which was docked outside the spaceship:

"Open fire. Turn this place... to dust."

"Yes, Father."

The next second, in deep space outside the refugee ship, the massive Sanctuary II warship lit up with thousands of cannons. The blinding energy converged, as if thousands of miniature stars were shining simultaneously.

"Warning! Devastating energy attack detected!"

In his mind, Gwen's anxious voice exploded, "Jiang Li! That's carpet bombing! The shields on this refugee ship won't hold for even a second! All the Asgard civilians inside will be wiped out!"

"I know."

Jiang Li's smile vanished. He glanced at the terrified women and children behind him, then at the heavily injured Thor and Loki was gripping a dagger.

"Thor, take your men to the escape pods."

Jiang Li suddenly spoke, his tone leaving no room for argument.

"What? I won't leave! I am the King of Asgard, I want to go with you..."

Jiang Li didn't give Thor a chance to refute, and shouted directly at the air:

"Gwen, take control of the ship's systems! Force ejection!"

"Received! Firewall breached... Escape procedure initiated!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

At that moment, dozens of escape pods at the stern of the refugee ship were forcibly ejected. Heimdall, Valkyrie, Loki, and the remaining refugees were instantly sent into deep space, transforming into meteors that shot towards the other side of the universe.

"Jiang Li!! I will come back!!"

Before Thor was forcibly shoved into the last escape pod, he stared intently at Jiang Li's back, his single eye burning with the flames of revenge and resolve.

Jiang Li turned around to face Thanos, who was watching him through the broken porthole.

Jiang Li straightened his slightly disheveled collar, and then, in the cracked cabin, he made a crazy move—he took a running start, smashed through the spaceship's special glass, and leaped into the cold, vacuum, and deathly silent deep space of space!

Before him was the overwhelming barrage of artillery fire from Sanctuary II.

Thousands of energy beams, powerful enough to vaporize steel, rained down upon us like a storm of light!

"Has this kid gone mad?" Ebony Maw stared at the scene, his eyes filled with disbelief. Traversing the void with his bare body? And even withstanding a ship's cannon fire?

Being in a vacuum, there is no air to transmit sound.

A burst of green light exploded in the dark universe, brighter than the stars!

Within that light, Jiang Li's body did not grow larger, but instead transformed into a four-legged lizard-like creature with light blue skin and wearing a black and white bodysuit. Its head was covered by a transparent windproof mask, and its back was covered with sharp spikes filled with cold air.

Arctiguana (Arctiguana)!

"Call..."

In the absolute zero of space, Jiang Li, transformed into Arctiguana, felt as if he had returned to a warm home. He opened his massive, fang-filled maw, took a deep breath, and faced the beams of energy shooting towards him from all directions.

Although there was no air, he inhaled dark energy and Aether from the universe.

"Absolute Zero - Aurora Breath!!"

Boom--!!!

A beam of ice-blue light, visible to the naked eye and displaying the brilliant colors of the aurora borealis, shot out from his mouth.

This is not just low temperature, it's a conceptual "freeze".

A bizarre yet spectacular scene unfolded.

The thousands of violent energy beams seemed to be paused the moment they came into contact with this icy blue breath. The flames froze, the plasma solidified, and they remained in their explosive and propulsive postures, transforming into a stretch of energy ice sculptures extending for several kilometers in space!

But that's not all.

The icy blue breath swept through the frozen cannon fire with unstoppable force, striking directly at the massive bow of the Sanctuary II.

This once dominant warship, which traversed the universe, was being covered by a thick layer of blue ice at a visible speed. The main guns went out, the engines stopped, and even the observation windows on the bridge were sealed with a thick layer of white frost.

The once imposing fleet instantly transformed into a giant ice coffin floating in space.

"Oh My God..."

Thor, sitting in the escape pod and looking back, watched this scene through the porthole.

What did he see?

One man, with a single breath, froze an entire fleet!

In space, Jiang Li (the Arctiguana) hovered on all fours in front of a massive ice wall, looking through his mask at the Sanctuary II, frozen solid, and let out a triumphant roar (though it couldn't be heard from space).

"It seems your engine isn't antifreeze. Would you like me to recommend a Plumbers brand antifreeze?"

Inside the main control room of Sanctuary II.

The temperature plummeted to below zero. Ebony Maw shivered, even his eyebrows were covered in frost.

Thanos stared at the frozen display screen before him, a hint of anger finally creeping onto his previously calm face. He clenched his left hand, and the purple Power Stone shone brightly.

"Snap!"

The ice on the gloves cracked.

"Activate the secondary engines! Smash these ice blocks!" Thanos roared over the ship's loudspeaker. "I'm going to tear that lizard apart alive!!"

Boom!

A burst of purple light erupted, and cracks began to appear in the ice layer on the surface of Sanctuary II.

"Oh dear, are you getting angry?"

Jiang Li watched the iceberg begin to tremble, knowing that the Arctiguana couldn't possibly hold Thanos, who possessed the Power Stone, for long. His goal had been achieved—the refugee ship had safely jumped away, and Thor had been sent on his way to Nidavellir.

"Gwen, have you planned the evacuation route?"

"Portal coordinates locked! Location: Earth, New York Sanctum." Gwen's voice came through the phone. "Come back quickly, Jiang Li! Thanos seems to be getting serious; the readings for that Infinity Stone are rising exponentially!"

"Receive."

Jiang Li glanced at the Sanctuary II, which was about to break through the ice, deactivated his transformation, gave Thanos a thumbs-up in space, and then—sharply stood it upside down!

"Want to catch me? Come to Earth, you purple sweet potato spirit! I've prepared an even bigger surprise for you there!"

Buzz!

A green portal opened behind him. Jiang Li leaned back, and his figure instantly disappeared into the vast universe.

A few seconds later.

"Boom!!"

The Sanctuary II completely shattered the ice seal, and countless shards of ice scattered like meteors.

Thanos stood on the bridge, looking at the empty universe, his face so gloomy it seemed like it could drip water.

"Father..." Ebony Maw stepped forward, trembling, "That Earthling..."

"Go to Earth."

Thanos turned around, sat back on his throne, and tapped his fingers lightly on the armrest, issuing his death sentence.

"Since he's there, let's go there."

"Also, inform Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight that I need two more gems. As for this lizard..."

Thanos glanced at his frostbitten hand, his eyes cold and piercing.
