Madara previously used Hashirama Cells to cultivate White Zetsu. He also possessed a Rinnegan that he had left to Nagato; this eye later comes into Chiya Uchiha's possession through implantation in Chiya's right palm. 132 208 230

During the Fourth Shinobi World War, Black Zetsu brings Madara back through Impure World Reincarnation. Madara enters the battlefield without concealing his chakra and immediately recognizes the scale of Chiya's Wood Release, remarking that only Hashirama had previously used it to such an extent. 225
