After preparing his gear, Han Lin took Steve to the outpost from the past two days. In less than half a day, the enemy forces collapsed and fled.

Watching the enemy vehicles and tanks drive away, Han Lin still felt somewhat regretful. Although no energy-weapon units had appeared and it was still Hydra's original mechanized force, their overall technological level remained above that of the Allies.

It would have been best to seize those weapons, but it was impossible to keep them all through pursuit. So Han Lin did not chase them. Instead, he picked off the fleeing enemy soldiers by name.

It had originally been a camp of fewer than a thousand men. After the attrition on both fronts over the past few days, fewer than five hundred enemy soldiers remained, and they rapidly fled the temporary camp. Han Lin stood on high ground and picked them off with his gun, swiftly taking one fresh life after another. Only when there were no more enemies in sight did he reluctantly lower his weapon.

"Level up. Skill point +1."

The usually silent system sounded its level-up notification.

Han Lin immediately asked, "How are skill points used?"

"Skill points can unlock locked skills. Different skills require different numbers of skill points."

Han Lin quickly opened his character panel and saw five options appear after Forms: Claws, Tendrils, Blades, Hammer, and Whipfist. Each was marked as locked.

Han Lin knew that changing Forms would bring major changes, so he first cleaned up the battlefield. Once the defensive line had been established, he withdrew.

After returning to the base, Han Lin called Agent Carter over and had her stand guard outside his door. She only needed to make sure no one disturbed him, no matter who came.

Han Lin had thought that skill points could only be used to unlock skills and mutations, but the appearance of Form upgrades made him realize that this was the first path to rapidly increasing his strength.

He hesitated over the choice.

Claws, Blades, and Whipfist were highly damaging against soldiers, but this was a battlefield filled with weapons of war. In Han Lin's view, there was no need to fight ordinary people in close quarters when facing many enemies alone. Firearms were far more useful than those three options, leaving only Tendrils and Warhammer Form.

Tendrils could attack aerial targets, while the Hammer was highly useful against mechanized forces. After weighing the choice for a long time, Han Lin ultimately chose Warhammer Form. Its broad area damage and knockback ability made him feel that this Form would be more useful.

After investing a skill point, Han Lin felt intense pain surge through both hands and arms. The Blacklight Virus was drastically altering his body, mutating his tissues into a transformed flesh form.

The agony gradually faded after a short time. Han Lin felt boundless power in his fists, which had grown to twice their original size.

Warhammer Form Level 1: Strength increased by 100%, attack speed reduced by 50%. Attacking the ground produces fan-shaped spikes. Spike height: 30 cm. Fan angle: 60 degrees. Range: 5 meters.

Reading the description of Warhammer Form, Han Lin laughed excitedly. He now truly counted as a humanoid beast. The difficulty of raiding enemy camps was getting lower and lower.

Agent Carter watched Han Lin emerge from the room with an excited expression and asked, "Did something good happen?"

"It is good news. I want to leave tonight and head behind enemy lines. Have Howard fly me in tonight," Han Lin said excitedly.

"So soon? Shouldn't we discuss it with the colonel first?"

"There's no need. I can now strike enemy camps quickly on my own."

That night, Han Lin, Howard, and Agent Carter flew toward the enemy camp behind the lines. Before they even reached the base, the anti-aircraft system was already firing autocannon shells at their plane.

Han Lin looked around and knew this was the limit. "I'm getting off here. Turn back. Wait for good news from me."

Without even saying goodbye to Agent Carter, he leaped from the plane.

As he dove at high speed, Han Lin experienced the only extreme sport he had wanted to try before crossing over. Spreading his arms, energy suddenly spilled from his entire body, forming thin membranes between his arms and torso and between his legs, like a wingsuit.

"Glide: Grants the host a brief ability to remain airborne."

Looking at the new skill on his panel, Han Lin tried to control himself as he flew toward the distant base. But the airborne ability was only temporary. It was not enough to let him land directly inside the enemy base, so after gliding for a short distance, Han Lin opened his parachute and slowly descended.

After landing, Han Lin swiftly vanished into the forest. He raced along the main road, his powerful body and endurance making him look like a cheetah running through the mountains.

As he neared the enemy base, he saw an enemy supply truck heading inside. Without hesitation, Han Lin climbed aboard.

After jumping into the cargo compartment, Han Lin saw two Hydra soldiers inside. He snapped one man's neck and threw him out of the truck. He held the other in his grasp. Han Lin did not know what state counted as near death, so he slowly tightened his grip until the Hydra soldier gradually became unable to breathe.

"Would you like to absorb the enemy?"

The system's timely voice sounded in Han Lin's mind.

Han Lin chose yes without hesitation. Countless fleshy tendrils extended from his hand and absorbed the man. The process did not last long. Only the enemy's clothes remained on the ground; the entire person had vanished.

Seeing such an inhuman ability of his for the first time, Han Lin felt some resistance deep down. He swore that he would never choose to absorb another person unless absolutely necessary. Han Lin quickly changed into the man's clothes, stored his own clothes and equipment in the armory, then sat in the back of the truck and silently examined the enemy soldier's memories. After gaining a general understanding, he waited for the supply truck to slowly enter the base.

Peering through a gap in the tarp as the military truck slowly drove into the base, Han Lin gradually grew nervous. Though he had seen the memories, he did not know whether the system would make him speak German, so it was best to get off the truck as quickly as possible. Otherwise, it would be difficult to explain if anyone asked about the others who had been riding with him.

Han Lin only needed to rescue the prisoners, assassinate the base commander, and destroy the ammunition depot.

When the vehicle stopped, Han Lin quickly got out and left. No one suspected that this familiar-looking man was an infiltrating spy. Only the driver, seeing no one in the back of his truck, felt a little suspicious but did not dare say anything.

Han Lin quickly headed toward the prisoner camp from the soldier's memories. He first circled the area and, after confirming the number of guards, took out two specially made long military spikes. Only the two guards at the entrance had firearms; the others merely carried punishment batons, afraid that prisoners might seize their guns and cause trouble.

Han Lin approached the guards a second time. They questioned him, but Han Lin merely smiled without speaking because he could not understand them. As more guards gathered around him, Han Lin made his move.

'Pshht!!'

The specialized military spikes sliced through the dark air, swift, precise, and sharp. Their blades swept across the throats of the two guards by the rear cargo compartment, accompanied by sprays of warm crimson blood.

Killing the two guards in an instant, Han Lin did not even pause for breath. Like a cheetah brimming with killing intent, he sprang toward the fifteen guards nearby.

A distance of four or five meters took less than three seconds under Han Lin's explosive assault.

Han Lin raised his blades and brought them down. The heads of more than a dozen Hydra soldiers flew high into the air. The sharp military blades, coupled with his tremendous wrist strength, directly severed even their neck vertebrae!

One Hydra soldier remained, eyes wide. Extreme terror slowed even his body's reactions.

They wanted to open their mouths and shout. They wanted to turn and run. But Han Lin's overwhelming power shattered their psychological defenses.

Han Lin drove a military spike directly into the last soldier's heart. When he pulled it free, a fountain of blood shot two meters into the air.

'Hisss, hisss, hisss...'

Gushing blood stained the ground. Seventeen enemy corpses lay sprawled there. Han Lin's heart still pounded in excitement, adrenaline and blood surging through his body as sweat poured from his forehead.

To avoid alerting the enemies inside the base, Han Lin had pushed his powerful physique, speed, and many combat techniques to their limits.

Han Lin did not dare relax. He hurriedly checked the surroundings and confirmed that he had not alerted any other Hydra soldiers.

As Han Lin looked outside, he changed back into his own appearance, picked up the prison keys from the ground, and threw them to the prisoners who were still staring in amazement.

"Hurry and free the others. I'll get you out of here. Now, let me take you out."

Han Lin looked at the crowd gathered around him. There were roughly a hundred people—not many, but all of them were the backbone of the Allies.
