Keeping a Low Profile, the Formless Scripture

Having attained True Immortal status and become an ancestor of the Human Race, Yuan Ming, who had crossed over into this world, had achieved these two modest accomplishments. Yet he did not grow proud because of them.

For he understood the saying, "The tree that stands out in the forest is sure to be felled by the wind," especially in this Primordial World where great powers were everywhere.

The Human Race was still far too weak.

Therefore, Yuan Ming continued to maintain his habit of keeping a low profile and rarely showing himself.

He entrusted all mundane affairs such as the tribe's daily management and external negotiations to Suiren, the most prestigious and impartial among them, while he remained behind the scenes, focusing on his own cultivation and deductions.

Within the quiet chamber, Yuan Ming examined himself inwardly, carefully sorting through every power he possessed in the True Immortal Realm.

Heaven-Devouring Dao Scripture provided an endless stream of pure mana imbued with a trace of devouring properties;

<Forty-Nine Great Laws of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity> formed a framework for countless ever-changing spells;

And there was also the seven-colored Entry [Eastern Lord's Heavenly Patrol], whose potential was boundless, yet which he did not dare use lightly.

His powers seemed numerous and formidable, but he sharply detected one fatal weakness: his physique.

The foundation of the Primordial Humans was already considered decent among the myriad races of the Primordial World, but compared to the Primordial Divine Saints born from the remnants of Chaos Demon Gods, Heaven-Opening Pure Qi, Primordial Spiritual Roots, and the like, the gap between them was as vast as clouds and mud.

Both might be in the Quasi-Sage Realm, yet one could be an Innate living being of ordinary foundation, while the other could be one of the Three Pure Ones, Di Jun, Taiyi, or another supreme divine being. The disparity was so enormous that it often took hundreds, even thousands, of the former merely to barely contend against the latter.

One's foundation determined the quality of mana, the strength of the divine soul, the upper limit of comprehension, and even one's affinity with the Great Dao.

"A foundation is fated from birth. Unless I can pick up or copy the [Primordial Divine Saints] Entry in the future, it will be difficult to alter it at the root." Yuan Ming pondered inwardly.

"But narrowing this gap is still possible!"

He thought of the Primordial World novels he had read in his previous life, where the protagonists often cultivated several systems at once to make up for their innate deficiencies.

Among them, the [Shrouding Heaven Method], said to develop the potential of the human body's inner universe and battle amid adversity, was especially remarkable. Its early-stage excavation of physical potential had reached an extreme.

"To create an entirely new and complete cultivation system, my current True Immortal Realm cultivation and understanding of the Great Dao are still nowhere near enough. Forcing the deduction would only shatter my Dao foundation."

Yet what [Great Dao Comprehension] had granted him had never been rigid imitation, but fusion and creation that transcended established frameworks.

"Since I cannot create an entire system, why not melt together the essence of different systems and create a cultivation method uniquely mine, one that can strengthen myself to the utmost limit?"

With his direction decided, he once more sank his consciousness into that boundless source of wisdom.

When uncertain, consult the Dao De Jing!

"The core will still be the Dao De Jing. The nameless is the beginning of Heaven and Earth; the named is the mother of all things... The physical body can likewise be viewed as a small heaven and earth, an inner universe!"

He placed the framework of the [Shrouding Heaven Method]—opening the Sea of Suffering in the Wheel of Life Secret Realm, establishing the Life Spring, erecting the Divine Bridge, and reaching the Other Shore—together with the body-tempering methods of the Primordial World and even divine faith methods for refining a golden body, into the furnace of [Great Dao Comprehension].

This deduction was more difficult and obscure than any he had undertaken before.

Different cultivation systems possessed different foundations, forms of energy, and even different understandings of the "Dao." Forcing them together was like clashing water against fire; the slightest carelessness would result in severe damage to his divine soul.

Countless mysteries concerning the circulation of qi and blood, the opening of acupoints, the ringing of sinews and bones, and the evolution of inner landscapes crashed through his sea of consciousness like a violent galaxy.

The ultimate restraint and eruption of the [Shrouding Heaven Method], where "a single grain of dust can fill the sea," continuously collided with and rejected the vast majesty of Primordial World methods that drew upon the might of heaven and earth. Under the guidance of his formidable will and comprehension, they painstakingly sought a point of balance where they could coexist and complement one another.

He saw the connection between the "Sea of Suffering" and the source of the physical body's qi and blood; the "Life Spring" corresponded to the surging of life essence; while the "Divine Bridge" was a bridge linking the physical body and divine soul, the inner heaven and earth and the outer heaven and earth!

During the deduction, he felt his True Immortal mana being rapidly drained, while waves of stabbing pain came from his divine soul.

The conception of this cultivation method was too lofty. It touched upon the fusion of different layers of Dao origins and had already faintly brushed against some kind of taboo.

"This method... is too heaven-defying. With my current realm and accumulation, I can only deduce its foundational portion. The later chapters will have to wait until my realm is higher and my knowledge broader before I can continue."

He decisively stopped the deeper deduction and completely solidified the first layer, which he had already sorted out clearly and could operate stably.

A phantom scripture radiating an aura of "neither Heaven, nor Earth, nor Humanity," yet seeming to "embrace Heaven, Earth, and Humanity," slowly condensed.

The Great Dao script upon it twisted and shifted, as though it possessed no fixed form, expounding the wondrous meaning of "no fixed appearance."

Its name was—the Formless Scripture!

Formless Scripture, First Layer: Opening the Physical Body

This layer cultivated neither mana nor the divine soul. It focused solely on excavating the physical body, this boundless treasure trove of potential.

Ultimate Fist Principle: It was not a specific move, but a method of exerting force.

It gathered the qi and blood of the entire body, and even part of one's mana, along mysterious trajectories at the edge of the fist or some part of the body, unleashing physical strength far beyond one's current realm.

Every punch and kick contained the power of creation. This was the "Ultimate Fist Principle."

Opening the Sea of Suffering: At the dantian below the navel, use the Ultimate Fist Principle to stir qi and blood, blast open the barriers of life, and manifest a Chaos-colored ocean of energy—the "Physical Bitter Sea."

Once the Sea of Suffering manifested, the physical body's strength, toughness, and recovery ability would undergo their first qualitative leap, with a certain chance of awakening physical divine abilities.

Sea of Suffering Phenomena: After the Sea of Suffering was opened, as cultivation deepened, phenomena would naturally manifest above it.

The phenomena were related to the cultivator's own traits and the Dao they comprehended. They might be divine mountains suppressing all beneath them, or golden lotuses blooming. The phenomena themselves possessed all manner of mysterious abilities.

Life Spring Eruption: At the center of the Sea of Suffering, the origin of life gathered and formed a "Life Spring," endlessly gushing forth life essence and a unique form of physical energy.

Erecting the Divine Bridge: Using the pure energy gushing from the Life Spring as its foundation, construct a Divine Bridge spanning the Sea of Suffering.

Once the Divine Bridge was complete, the connection between the physical body and divine soul would become even closer, and control over oneself would reach the finest detail.

With the cultivation method initially complete, Yuan Ming felt a wave of weakness. It was caused by the excessive expenditure of mental energy and mana.

Yet his eyes gleamed with excitement.

"Although it is only the first layer, if I can cultivate it to completion, the strength of my physique will far surpass Innate living beings of the same realm. I may even rival some weaker Primordial Divine Saints! That is enough!"

He concealed his aura and began following the methods of the first layer of the Formless Scripture, mobilizing his qi and blood as he attempted the initial "Ultimate Fist Principle."

A condensed, almost tangible sensation of power began to grow within his body.

Heaven-Devouring Dao Scripture primarily cultivated mana and realm; Formless Scripture primarily cultivated the foundation of the physical body; <Forty-Nine Great Laws of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity> governed divine abilities and transformations.

"Next comes the slow grind. I must cultivate the first layer of this Formless Scripture to success. Then, when I use the [Eastern Lord's Heavenly Patrol] Entry again, my body will be able to withstand that vast power of the great sun."

He slowly threw a punch. Without using the slightest trace of mana, the air still let out a deep, muffled explosion.

The Dao Path stretched endlessly ahead, long and far without end.
