At the Quasi-Sage level, unless there was an especially grave conflict of Dao, they generally would not act lightly
At this moment, the pavilion was deathly silent; even the primordial lotus flowers no longer swayed.
The two attendants stood quietly, not daring to disturb him.
Zhu Yin took a sip of tea and sank into thought.
They were not wrong. Beyond the mountain, things had indeed changed. More living beings had gathered there, while the Hundred Treasures Hall and Merit Pavilion flourished. All of this meant that Spirit Platform Mountain's providence was continuously accumulating.
It also showed that the Western Lands were reviving. Although the earth veins outside the Daoist sanctuary had only been partially restored, this was already the beginning of breaking the deadlock.
The number of living beings gathered around Spirit Platform Mountain was now second only to Mount Sumeru and the White Tiger Clan's territory. It could be called the Western Lands' new pure land.
But they had not been entirely correct either.
In truth, the changes within the mountain were no less significant. The two attendants' cultivation was simply too shallow for them to notice.
Over the years, as more and more primordial spiritual roots had been planted, Spirit Platform Mountain had quietly undergone profound transformations.
On the surface, all was calm and still, but beneath it, it was like a volcano brewing, gathering immense power.
As the master of Spirit Platform Mountain and a Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal, Zhu Yin felt it most clearly.
He even had a premonition...
Once he broke through to Great Principle Perfection, Spirit Platform Mountain would truly ascend and undergo a qualitative transformation.
Within the pavilion on Spirit Platform Mountain, Zhu Yin leisurely sipped his tea. Its fragrance was crisp and pure, swirling across his tongue and leaving behind a trace of sweetness.
He drank tea as he pondered.
Hundred Illusion Butterfly's request was actually quite reasonable.
In the Primordial World, aside from the Great Dao, bloodline inheritance was held in the highest regard. Sending the younger generation of the butterfly clan to Spirit Platform Mountain to cultivate under him happened to align with his own plans.
As for the Mirage Dragons, Zhu Yin could understand them as well.
This species had always been closely connected to the Dragon Clan. After the Three Clans War, they too had been implicated by karmic sin. Cultivation had become difficult, inheritance even harder, and their numbers had dwindled. Now, they all hid within the legendary Mirage Tower Grotto-Heaven, in an even worse state than the Dragon Clan.
They wanted to take this opportunity to send several juniors to Spirit Platform Mountain, seeking the mountain's providential protection so they could continue cultivating and preserve their bloodline. To demonstrate their sincerity, the Mirage Dragon Clan had even prepared two primordial spiritual treasures as tokens of allegiance.
After considering it, Zhu Yin decided there was no loss in agreeing.
Spirit Platform Mountain's providence was now exceedingly abundant. This was precisely what he lacked least.
He possessed the providence of the Western Lands' heaven and earth, the providence of the Mystic Sect's chief disciple, as well as the providence of the Pure Bamboo, Worry-Free Spirit Land, Spirit Platform Mountain itself, and the Hundred Treasures Hall... Taken together, throughout the Western Lands, aside from the two ancestors of Mount Sumeru and that ancestor of the White Tiger Clan, no one possessed greater providence than him.
Sheltering a few Mirage Dragons was nothing more than a trivial matter to him. Besides, Mirage Dragons were exceptionally gifted. Though their bloodlines were not those of pure Dragon Clan descendants, their combat strength was no weaker than true dragons. They excelled at transformations, controlling clouds and summoning rain, and their destructive power was considerable.
As long as they could remove the effects of karmic sin and cultivate normally, Spirit Platform Mountain would gain several formidable helpers in the future. The Mirage Dragon Clan would certainly support him even more because of this, delivering resources and nurturing them with all their strength, much like the White Tiger Clan had cultivated Jin Tu. It would save him a great deal of trouble.
Moreover, Mirage Dragons were born with control over water veins, making them perfectly suited to regulate the earth veins and water veins around Spirit Platform Mountain.
The Western Lands had been devastated by the great war. Its mountains, rivers, soil, and waters were scarred beyond recognition. The water veins around Spirit Platform Mountain had only barely been repaired, but with the aid of Mirage Dragons, the restoration would surely accelerate greatly.
Inside Spirit Platform Mountain's pavilion.
Zhu Yin instructed the two attendants, Wuxin and Wuqing, to first send a reply to the Dragon Clan. He then summoned several elite members of the Flora Clan and members of the Bee Queen's clan to expound the Dao and transmit teachings beside the Primordial Lotus Pool.
Dao resonance lingered in the air, his voice like heavenly music.
Nine hundred white lotuses gently swayed, as though resonating with the sound of the Dao.
Nine thousand five-colored koi leaped from the water and swam around the pavilion. All listened attentively, seeming to gain insights as well.
Zhu Yin focused on observing several cultivators:
Jin Tu: Though he loved fine wine and rich meat, he had never slacked in cultivation. His cultivation had already reached the Early Golden Immortal Peak.
Bee Queen: The queen bee of the Jiaochong clan, at the Mysterious Immortal Peak, preparing to break through to the Golden Immortal realm.
Wuxin, Wuqing: The two attendants had already reached Mysterious Immortal Perfection, but still had some distance to go before becoming Golden Immortals.
Hundred Flowers Fairy: At the Mid Golden Immortal Peak, she had hope of advancing further through this sermon.
Hundred Herbs Fairy: At Golden Immortal Perfection, with a deep foundation. After relaxing her state of mind, her cultivation had advanced by leaps and bounds. She was on the verge of entering the Primordial Unity Golden Immortal realm.
At that moment, Hundred Herbs Fairy gained an insight during the sermon and broke through on the spot, drawing vast amounts of spiritual energy toward herself.
In addition, Zhu Yin paid particular attention to five Flora Clan cultivators at Mysterious Immortal Perfection. They had transformed from five kinds of spiritual roots:
Plum (wood)
Apricot (fire)
Jujube (earth)
Peach (metal)
Chestnut (water)
They had originally served under Azurewood Ancestor and were as close as siblings. Together, they formed the Five Elements Formation and had rendered great service while fleeing the Demon Race's pursuit.
The five of them had now all touched the threshold of the Golden Immortal realm. Zhu Yin planned to have them guard Spirit Platform Mountain's Five Elements Spirit-Gathering Formation. This would not only strengthen the formation, but also aid their cultivation.
The sermon lasted five hundred years, followed by another five hundred years of answering doubts. Everyone gained something.
Afterward, Zhu Yin called the attendants and the others forward and bestowed rewards upon them:
"You have followed me for many years. From tending the spiritual flowers in the mountain to managing its affairs, you have now all reached Mysterious Immortal Perfection. I shall grant you high-grade acquired spiritual treasures to help you pass the Golden Immortal tribulation."
The Bee Queen, Jin Tu, Hundred Flowers Fairy, and the five Five Elements immortals all received treasures. They were even taught divine abilities and secret arts, in preparation for future tribulations.
As for Hundred Herbs Fairy, Zhu Yin placed restrictions around her to prevent outside disturbances, allowing her to break through in peace.
After everyone had dispersed, Zhu Yin came to Spirit Platform Mountain's summit.
At the mountaintop stood a Fire Mulberry Spirit Tree that had yet to fully mature, standing against the wind. Its branches and leaves were lush, its canopy spreading like flames across the entire sky.
Upon the tree, a bright crimson divine bird egg absorbed the sunlight. It breathed together with the spiritual root, slowly nurturing life.
Zhu Yin looked at it, a smile appearing on his lips.
"After spending dozens of drops of Three Lights Divine Water, I finally saved you. Now that you possess spiritual intelligence, cultivate here peacefully. You and the Fire Mulberry Tree are one; once it matures, you will be able to be born as well."
The divine egg trembled slightly, as though responding to him.
The tree swayed too, scattering a sheet of rosy light.
Looking at everything before him, Zhu Yin was in high spirits and could not help throwing back his head in laughter. The entire blessed land of Spirit Platform Mountain seemed infected by his laughter, overflowing with springtime vitality and life everywhere.
After laughing, Zhu Yin prepared to depart for Mount Sumeru. First, he wished to pay respects to his master; second, he wanted to see whether he could obtain high-grade primordial divine soil from his master or his senior uncle Jieyin, so he could cultivate earth-element spiritual roots and properly make use of the Five-Needle Pine Fruit pits he had obtained earlier.
But before he could step into Mount Sumeru, the skies suddenly shifted, wind and clouds churning as thunder shook heaven and earth.
Then an imposing roar resounded through the Nine Heavens:
"Dijun, decree!"
"Heaven and earth bear witness: I am Dijun, Lord of the Heavenly Court. Having now comprehended the mysteries of the sun and moon's passage, the stars' revolutions, and the flow of time, I have specially created the 'Ten Heavenly Stems' to assist in the operation of heaven and earth..."
The moment his words fell, a rumbling crash came from the Nine Heavens, as though the entire world had been stirred.
Immediately afterward, clouds and mist surged through the sky, myriad rays of rosy light spread out, and merit as vast as the sea poured down.
Upon Mount Sumeru, Zhu Yin wore a solemn expression and respectfully bowed to the heavens.
"The Heavenly Emperor is benevolent!"
This was precisely the moment when heaven, earth, and man were aligned, when one should ride the tide and act accordingly.
Though the Witch Clan and Demon Race would inevitably wage an earth-shattering war in the future, bringing countless calamities, deaths, and injuries, at this moment the two clans' providence was flourishing. They were deeply favored by heaven and earth and played enormously important roles in the Primordial Wilderness. They had indeed done many good things for heaven and earth, benefiting countless living beings.
Although there were many among the two clans who were bloodthirsty by nature, it was like a single blemish upon white jade, unable to dim its overall brilliance. The Heavenly Court and Earthly Palace had now gained the recognition of most living beings in the Primordial Wilderness. The Witch and Demon Clans remained relatively restrained toward each other, and no aura of calamity had yet arisen between heaven and earth. It was a time of clarity.
Even the two mighty figures, Zhunti and Jieyin, personally appeared and offered half a bow to the heavens.
Seeing these two elders, Zhu Yin quietly sighed to himself.
In the Primordial Wilderness novels he had read in his previous life, Dijun and Taiyi had been written as treacherous petty men. The Three Pure Ones, Zhunti, Jieyin, and other Sages were always trying to overthrow the Heavenly Court, looking down on Dijun with an air filled with hostility.
But after transmigrating to the Primordial Wilderness, he had truly come to understand: this place did indeed follow the law of the strong devouring the weak, yet the stronger one was, the more one understood restraint and tolerance.
Every mighty figure had their own temperament and bearing. Some were upright and forthright, some cold and aloof, some warmhearted and kind, while others radiated dominance and were wild and unrestrained. They possessed pride, but they possessed an even greater breadth of vision.
Even Kunpeng, who had been written as the most shameless figure in the novels, was in truth quite magnanimous.
Especially once one reached the Quasi-Sage level, unless there was an especially grave conflict of Dao, they generally would not act lightly.
They respected those powerful figures who had taken the first step, and they also respected those who had established merit for heaven and earth... regardless of whether they were enemies.
Everyone possessed unwavering faith in their own Dao. When faced with obstruction, they dared to challenge heaven and earth, yet they were never arrogantly blind. It seemed contradictory, but in truth it was the balance between ideals and reality.
They would admit that they had "been one step slower," but they would never say that they were "inferior to others."
They would not belittle themselves, but neither would they become blindly conceited.
Just like the Witch and Demon Clans: though their enmity ran as deep as the sea, they still admired one another. Or Zhunti and Jieyin's attitude toward Dijun...
They were already Quasi-Sages and great figures in their own right, yet because Dijun had created the "Heavenly Stems," they admired him from the bottom of their hearts while remaining unconvinced. That was why they offered only a "half bow."
This emotion... both respect and rivalry... was the true portrayal of the Primordial Wilderness' mighty figures.
