Ravenclaw's Sky Had Grown Dark Too?

Having the young wizards cross the Black Lake in groups of four was a traditional part of every Hogwarts opening season. Supposedly, it was in imitation of the ancient founders, when the Four Founders of Hogwarts crossed the Black Lake.

Hagrid had always taken a boat before, but this year he had chosen to ride Walnut, so he had no choice but to take the longer route. But with so many young wizards sailing across the Black Lake without anyone to guide them...

"Ah, I should've prepared earlier. How about you guide the young wizards here while I ride Walnut around the long way?" Hagrid said quietly.

"There's no need to make it so troublesome." Kane pulled a huge pile of materials from Little Pumpkin's mouth, then his hands flew up and down. At a speed rivaling Transfiguration, he handcrafted a flat, pancake-like wooden raft and set it on the Black Lake.

To be honest, though, to outsiders, that move was basically Transfiguration. There was no difference at all.

Then he patted Walnut and had him step onto it.

"Wow, it's so steady!" Hagrid said in surprise.

"But how are we supposed to make this raft move? It doesn't have magic, or sails or anything." Hermione suddenly asked. For some reason, a terrifying thought had occurred to her.

Kane had always been shameless and without limits, so he was absolutely capable of sitting comfortably atop Walnut while making them get down and row.

If Kane knew what Hermione was thinking, he definitely wouldn't understand. What kind of beast did she take him for? Would he really be that sort of person? Sit comfortably himself while leaving all the dirty, exhausting work to everyone else? Absolutely not!

He slowly stood up from Walnut's back and called down to the young wizards
