Kane... in Danger!!!

When Kane returned to Gryffindor Tower, he naturally hadn't brought back a single book. Halfway through searching the shelves, he suddenly realized that he still hadn't figured out his Shadow Codex.

So he hurried back and got to work. As for his strategy, he used Hermione sitting across from him as the standard: if she kept glancing up at him, fidgeting, sweating from the forehead, and looking like she wanted to kill him, then he could consider himself sufficiently studied.

On the other hand, if Hermione across from him looked leisurely as could be, utterly relaxed, then there was no question about it—he simply hadn't studied hard enough and needed to step things up.

Just as he put down his book for a second and planned to look up to see Hermione's reaction, Hermione wasn't looking at him, but Luna was.

She was wearing a cowboy top hat decorated with a flower wreath, staring straight at him with a curious expression.

And Kane was naturally curious too. What he was curious about was why the wreath he had made just a week ago had started wilting less than a day after ending up on Luna's head.

This was neither scientific nor magical, nor was it Eternal Realm.

But Luna soon left. Her retreating figure still seemed light and carefree, as though she wasn't heading off to seek revenge at all... Hmm, what was that called again? A true master never revealed themself.

Kane withdrew his gaze from Luna and looked at Hermione across from him again. She was more or less as he had expected: anxious beyond words, cold sweat beading on her forehead, her damp bangs clumped into strands, her eyes nearly red from studying. She looked completely possessed.

Mm, close enough. He had studied enough. It was time
