Background / History
Langya Pavilion was established in Central State and developed a reputation for its harmonious internal culture. Competition among its members is generally healthy rather than driven by factional suppression, attracting strong cultivators seeking a peaceful place to spend their later years 3.
Its Pavilion Master, Ice Saint Xiao Han, disappeared for a century. The loss caused significant damage, but the guest elders and disciples preserved the faction’s foundation. During this period, Deputy Pavilion Master Yi Huang kept the pavilion stable and advancing, earning admiration and a status among the disciples comparable to Xiao Han’s 3 4.
After Xiao Han’s return, Langya Pavilion’s strength and influence rose sharply. It declined an opportunity to replace Starfall Pavilion among the Four Directions Pavilions, maintaining its low-profile policy rather than exploiting Starfall Pavilion’s weakness 5.
The pavilion defeated the Heavenly Underworld Sect and later endured a joint offensive by the Soul Hall and Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan. Its victory and Xiao Han’s subsequent retaliation against the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan established it as a major Central State power, drawing visits from the Pill Tower, Burning Flame Valley, and other forces 30 137 141.
Langya Pavilion eventually sheltered surviving Spirit Race juniors after the Spirit Race’s destruction, openly facing pressure from several Ancient Races over their custody 152 184 266.
After Xiao Han arrived in the Great Thousand World and integrated the Four Sects, he adopted the old faction’s name for the new organization. The resulting force was named Langya Heavenly Palace 447.

| Merchant Guild | The Langya Merchant Guild, created by integrating the pavilion’s and subordinate forces’ commercial channels 233 |
| Intelligence network | Built by Xiao Han; stronger than most sects’ networks, second only to powers such as the Soul Hall and Pill Tower 5 |
Strength and Defenses
- Langya Pavilion possesses a powerful intelligence network that can outperform other sects outside Central State, though it remains unable to fully uncover deeply concealed Soul Hall movements 5 60.
- Its grand formation and stationed Dou Zun experts could reportedly contain even a Half-Saint opponent; dozens of Dou Zuns guard the formation continuously 57 66.
- During its conflict with the Soul Hall, the pavilion was estimated to possess over 200 Dou Zun experts, including at least ten peak Dou Zuns on the Nine Revolutions path 138.
- The pavilion’s forces include human cultivators and Magical Beasts, with rank seven and eight Magical Beast members living alongside humans 185.
- Its response teams against Soul Hall Earthly Fiend Branch Halls were organized around at least ten Langya Guards and a high-level Dou Zun Elder, with Space Scrolls and Half-Saint or Dou Sheng reinforcements available 342.
Langya Realm
The Langya Realm is the primary residence of most Langya Pavilion disciples and elders. It was jointly created by several Dou Sheng experts over many years, using an older cultivation secret realm as its core 184.
Access and security
- Entry is controlled through personal tokens activated with Dou Qi 184.
- Tokens serve as passes, identification records, and tracking devices; unauthorized use triggers the detection array and reveals the intruder’s location on identity tokens 184.
- Xiao Han placed a trace of his Heaven Realm Perfection Soul Strength within the array, making covert infiltration exceptionally difficult 184.
- The realm contains a Forest Sea protected by an Illusion Array capable of trapping even Dou Sheng experts without a pass 185.
Environment and facilities
- The realm’s energy concentration is roughly twice that of the outside world 184.
- Its terrain includes a vast forest, a Magical Beast-inhabited mountain range, plains, hills, and dedicated residential areas for disciples and elders 184 185.
- Cultivation Places are available through a merit-point system 185.
- A Cultivation Secret Realm can increase cultivation speed fivefold for members able to pay the required contribution points 185.
Recruitment limitations
Langya Pavilion’s strict token system makes large-scale recruitment costly. Its total number of disciples and elders remained below 10,000, so it also relied on affiliated external members; exceptional contributors could become formal disciples or elders 184.
Commerce and Intelligence
Langya Merchant Guild
The Langya Merchant Guild was formed by consolidating commercial channels formerly controlled by Langya Pavilion and its subordinate forces. Backed by the pavilion’s resources and strength, it developed smoothly and was intended to expand from lower-end trade into the high-end market 233.
Intelligence operations
Langya Pavilion’s intelligence system was personally established by Xiao Han. It has tracked Soul Hall branch halls, monitored Central State developments, and supported military deployments, though failures to anticipate coordinated enemy actions have prompted internal criticism 5 112 242.
Relationships
- Xiao Han / Ice Saint — Pavilion Master and founder of its intelligence system; his return transformed the pavilion’s standing in Central State 3 5.
- Yi Huang — Deputy Pavilion Master; maintained and expanded the pavilion during Xiao Han’s absence, later directing its diplomacy and crisis response 4 130.
- Ye Jianxin — Grand Elder and Xiao Han’s sworn brother; a senior defender during the conflict with the Soul Hall and Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan 3 130.
- Sound Valley — Close ally. Xiao Han aided Heavenly Sound Old Man’s breakthrough, while Sound Valley later supported Langya Pavilion in battle 62 130.
- Spirit Race — Cooperative partner whose surviving juniors were sheltered in the Langya Realm; the arrangement brought Ancient Race pressure upon the pavilion 152 184 266.
- Soul Hall / Soul Tribe — Long-standing enemies. Langya Pavilion repeatedly targeted Soul Hall branch halls and ultimately fought major conflicts with both organizations 112 266 342.
- Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan — Initially attempted to pressure the pavilion into supporting its interests; later joined the Soul Hall’s offensive against Langya Pavilion 127 130.
- Pill Tower — Initially hesitant to ally with Langya Pavilion, but moved to befriend it after its victory against the Soul Hall and Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan 114 141.
- Starfall Pavilion — A neighboring Southern Region power and early competitor. Langya Pavilion refused to exploit its decline to seize its Four Directions Pavilion position 5.
Major Conflicts
Heavenly Underworld Sect
The Heavenly Underworld Sect demanded Langya Pavilion’s surrender, triggering open conflict. Xiao Han revealed his Dou Sheng cultivation, and the sect was subsequently eliminated 30 37.
Soul Hall and Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan
The Soul Hall and Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan jointly pressured Langya Pavilion with multiple Dou Sheng experts. Yi Huang delayed exposing Fallen Thunder Crystal Ice as a reserve force while Ye Jianxin and Heavenly Sound Old Man held the front line 130.
Langya Pavilion ultimately repelled the coalition. The Soul Hall sought a ceasefire after judging the pavilion too costly to fight, while Xiao Han pursued the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan into the Beast Region 138.
Protection of the Spirit Race remnants
Following the Spirit Race’s disappearance, Langya Pavilion became guardian to its remaining geniuses. Representatives of several Ancient Races came to demand them, but Xiao Han confronted the visitors and asserted the pavilion’s position 264 266.
Legacy
- Langya Pavilion’s name was retained when Xiao Han founded Langya Heavenly Palace in the Great Thousand World 447.
- Langya Heavenly Palace inherited its predecessor’s emphasis on disciplined forces, commerce, arrays, and strong internal organization 455 467.
- The later Langya Guard of Langya Heavenly Palace consisted of 5,000 Supremes and 50 Spirit Array Master Earthly Supremes, with Xiao Han as Commander and Qian Cha as Vice Commander 467.
