Radiant light flashed, casting a vast halo. Mu Jizi, Kunpeng, Xihe, and Yuehua walked within it beneath two small flags!

"Fellow Daoists, these two Five Direction Flags are truly wondrous beyond compare!" Xihe's eyes shone as she stared at the two little flags spinning overhead, unable to stop herself from praising them sincerely.

"These are merely the only things worth showing. I have made a fairy laugh," Mu Jizi replied to Xihe's praise with only a smile.

"How could I dare? How could I dare?" Xihe repeatedly waved her hands. Recalling how, when she had first met Mu Jizi and Kunpeng, they had rescued the two sisters, she had assumed they coveted the third-rate innate spiritual treasure they had acquired. If it were only the two of them, they naturally had nothing to fear. But Xihe and Yuehua were beside them. The six standing within that earthy-yellow screen were none other than Red Cloud, the great immortal Zhen Yuanzi, King Father of the East, Queen Mother of the West, Jieyin, and Zhunti!

"How did these six get tangled up together?" Mu Jizi's heart sank. If Jieyin and Zhunti were not among them, he would not have feared them. But upon seeing the two who would become the Western Realm's Two Sages, a chill ran through his heart. After all, a man's reputation was like a tree's shadow. For Jieyin and Zhunti to attain sainthood among countless great divine beings, they surely possessed extraordinary qualities!

"Brother Zhen Yuanzi, your Earth Book Treasure Mirror truly is an excellent treasure! Traveling through the chaos within it is like soaring through empty space, completely unaffected!" Within the earthy-yellow light screen, Zhunti wore a lewd grin as he spoke casually, as though a cat were toying with mice, seemingly not taking Mu Jizi and the others seriously at all!

Hearing this, Zhen Yuanzi, that famed virtuous True Immortal, could not help but blush slightly, yet he said nothing!

Zhunti did not mind. He exchanged a glance with his senior brother Jieyin, then subtly looked toward Red Cloud and transmitted, "Fellow Daoist, this matter was stirred up by you. You must step forward first, so that we may act accordingly!"

"Of course!" Red Cloud nodded. He swept his gaze over the displeased Kunpeng in the distance and laughed aloud. "Kunpeng Patriarch, the cause of that day has borne the fruit of today. Have you ever considered this?"

Kunpeng sneered. "I know nothing of karmic cycles. This Patriarch only knows that strength is the only hard truth. Everything else is like drifting clouds and flowing water—visible, yet impossible to hold! Stop wasting your breath. If you want to fight, then fight. Why so much nonsense?"

"As it should be!" Red Cloud nodded. He then exchanged glances with the others, spread his steps, and unleashed his great arts!

Kunpeng gave a harsh laugh and stepped forward. Holding the Northern—Black-Origin Water-Control Flag overhead, he met them head-on and began battling Red Cloud!

For a time, mana shot in every direction through the chaos, while currents surged wildly, terrifying beyond compare!

At that moment, with the Black-Origin Water-Control Flag above him, Kunpeng did not care about Red Cloud's attacks at all. A casual strike from him left Red Cloud in a sorry state. Seeing this, Zhen Yuanzi immediately took a step forward and joined the battle!

Seeing this, Mu Jizi no longer remained idle! With a step, he left the Eastern—Green Lotus Treasure-Colored Flag above the two women's heads. His body flickered with the light of creation as he charged out of the light screen to aid Kunpeng!

But just then, a seven-colored divine light suddenly swept toward him. Mu Jizi was startled and dodged with a flicker, yet a golden light abruptly came at him from behind.

The golden light was swift as lightning and carried the element of a sneak attack. At that moment, Mu Jizi had to use his mana to keep chaotic qi from touching him, and in his distraction, he was struck tumbling by the golden light!

Mu Jizi winced in pain and steadied himself in the air. Then a transmitted voice entered his mind. "Fellow Daoist, your opponents are my martial brother and me! It would be best not to break the rules!"

Hearing that transmission, Mu Jizi knew it was impossible to aid Kunpeng! After a brief pause, his divine sense locked firmly onto Zhunti and Jieyin, who barred his way. His face darkened as he asked:

"Fellow Daoists Zhunti and Jieyin, what is the meaning of this?"

"No other meaning." Zhunti smiled faintly. "We were merely entrusted to hold Fellow Daoist back."

"Oh? Hold me back?" Mu Jizi gave a soft snort, his face indifferent. "Could it be that Fellow Daoist believes the two of you can restrain this poor Daoist?"

Zhunti was not angered by this. Smiling slightly, he said, "Fellow Daoist may try and see!"

"So it seems the three of us must have a fight after all!" Mu Jizi said darkly!

"As it should be!"...
