Yuan Tian Strikes Back (Part One)

(Thanks to reader "You Ran Qing Tian" for the tip!!!) Leaving the rather unfortunate Qilin Clan aside, let's turn to Yuan Tian, who was both "lucky" and "unlucky."

After defeating the Qilin Clan, Yuan Tian went straight back to Star Heaven. He had the Twelve Heavenly Guards and the Star Lords settle the Star Clan and handle its affairs, then entered the Star Palace and began his second retreat since arriving in Star Heaven.

Yuan Tian had two main goals for this retreat.

The first was to heal. Rescuing Phoenix Ancestor had injured his Primordial Spirit, and it still had not recovered. He could not put that off.

The second was to refine pills. Yuan Tian had gained a great deal from this round of "training," but he had also used up a staggering number of pills. The Star Clan had "gobbled down" nearly all of them. How else could they have recovered so quickly?

Fortunately, the invading Qilin Clan members had been numerous, and most carried at least a few spiritual herbs or medicinal plants. Alchemy was a specialized craft in the Primordial Wilderness, and it would remain so. Only a handful of people knew how to do it, and not everyone had Yuan Tian's skill. The Qilin Clan had little choice but to eat the plants raw, even if that weakened their effects.

The Qilin Clan had eaten some of their supplies, but plenty remained. Taken together, it was more than enough to spare Yuan Tian the time of gathering ingredients himself.

There was no need to go through every detail of Yuan Tian's retreat. It went more or less as expected.
