Eternal Imperishable Body

Although Yuan Tian had recovered the memories of his previous ten lives, memories were only memories, like knowledge in a book. One had to not only read it, but understand it; otherwise, reading it was no different from not reading it at all. Yuan Tian was currently in just such a state. He possessed boundless knowledge of battle, but lacked practical experience. Fighting opponents weaker than himself was no issue, but if he encountered someone with rich combat experience and cultivation no lower than his own, Yuan Tian would likely suffer a loss. Each of these three divine bodies had its own advantages and profound mysteries. Let us go through them one by one.

To speak of the Ancestral Shaman True Body, one had to first speak of the Chaos True Body, because the Ancestral Shaman True Body could be considered a reduced version of the Chaos True Body. The Chaos True Body was cultivated by Primordial Chaos Demon Gods using Primordial Chaos qi, making them imperishable through countless tribulations and granting them limitless might. As far as Yuan Tian knew, only Primordial Chaos Demon Gods could cultivate the Chaos True Body, because others could neither absorb Primordial Chaos qi nor easily withstand its corrosive nature. Furthermore, the Chaos True Body was suppressed by the Heavenly Dao in the Primordial Wilderness. Even Primordial Chaos Demon Gods would be suppressed by the Heavenly Dao if they entered the Primordial Wilderness. Thus, the Witch Clan used the Chaos True Body passed down from the great god Pangu to create the Ancestral Shaman True Body, one suited to the Primordial World. The Ancestral Shaman True Body strengthened the Witch Clan's physical bodies by absorbing the baleful qi of heaven and earth, making their bodies incomparably powerful in the hope of attaining physical immortality. At its peak, the Ancestral Shaman True Body could possess the physical strength of a peak Top-Grade Innate Spirit Treasure, infinitely close to an Innate Supreme Treasure. Like the Chaos True Body, it possessed boundless might. The Ancestral Shamans relied on the Ancestral Shaman True Body to dominate the Primordial Wilderness for an entire kalpa, monopolizing its lands.

The Heavenly Dao Dharma Body was a dharma body formed when a Sage imprinted his Primordial Spirit into the Heavenly Dao upon attaining Sagehood, with the Heavenly Dao aiding its creation. Although the Heavenly Dao Dharma Body was not as incomparably formidable in physical strength as the Ancestral Shaman True Body or Chaos True Body, its physical body was still between a Mid-Grade Innate Spirit Treasure and a Top-Grade Innate Spirit Treasure, stronger than the bodies of most people. Of course, physical strength was not the Heavenly Dao Dharma Body's primary function. Its main ability was to remain unscathed through countless tribulations and for its physical body never to die. In other words, even if one killed a Sage's physical body—though that was an extraordinarily difficult feat—the Heavenly Dao would still help him regenerate, ensuring that he could never be killed within the domain of the Heavenly Dao. Naturally, all this applied only within the Heavenly Dao's domain. Beyond it, no one knew whether it would still remain unscathed through countless tribulations and whether its physical body would remain undying, since such a thing had never happened. Sages were not made of clay for others to knead as they pleased. Under normal circumstances, they were the ones kneading others for amusement.

The Black-Yellow Imperishable Body could be called the strongest among the three great divine bodies. Upon Lesser Accomplishment, its physical strength could rival that of the Heavenly Dao Dharma Body. Upon Great Accomplishment, it would be three parts stronger even than the enhanced Chaos True Body of the Ancestral Shaman True Body, making it the foremost of the three great divine bodies. However, the indispensable requirement for cultivating the Black-Yellow Imperishable Body was Black-Yellow Merit. Black-Yellow Merit could ward off all techniques, and the most famous example was Taishang Laozi's Heaven-Earth Black-Yellow Exquisite Pagoda. That thing was practically a super turtle shell, said to render one undefeated when placed above one's head, with unparalleled defense. Once the Black-Yellow Imperishable Body was cultivated successfully, it could likewise make its user immune to all techniques, turning him into a humanoid Spirit Treasure.

It was not a Heavenly Dao Dharma Body, yet it surpassed a Heavenly Dao Dharma Body. However, the merit required to cultivate the Black-Yellow Imperishable Body was vast beyond measure. The Black-Yellow Merit needed merely for Lesser Accomplishment was no less than the amount of merit needed for a Sage to attain Sagehood. Who in the entire Primordial Wilderness possessed such an enormous amount of merit? No one did. Perhaps Laozi did—more precisely, perhaps Laozi's Heaven-Earth Black-Yellow Exquisite Pagoda did. One could cultivate the Black-Yellow Imperishable Body simply by extracting the Black-Yellow Merit qi within the Heaven-Earth Black-Yellow Exquisite Pagoda, but doing so would destroy the pagoda. Who would be willing to destroy the greatest defensive Supreme Treasure under heaven? Moreover, the Heaven-Earth Black-Yellow Exquisite Pagoda was also first-rate at suppressing fortune, so Laozi would be even less willing to part with it. Therefore, the Black-Yellow Imperishable Body had, from beginning to end, existed only in legend. Having finished the three great divine bodies of the Primordial Wilderness, let us now discuss Yuan Tian's Eternal Imperishable Body.

The Eternal Imperishable Body did not use the chaotic attributes of Primordial Chaos qi to make the physical body immortal like the Chaos True Body, nor did it use Black-Yellow Merit like the Black-Yellow Imperishable Body to gain immunity to all techniques. Yet the Eternal Imperishable Body was not the slightest bit inferior to either the Chaos True Body or the Black-Yellow Imperishable Body. It used the spiritual qi of heaven and earth over an Infinite Kalpa to temper one's physical body. Its ultimate effect was to grant its user the dual attributes of the Chaos True Body and the Black-Yellow Imperishable Body: an immortal body and immunity to all techniques. But the spiritual qi accumulated over an Infinite Kalpa was unimaginably vast; it could even allow one to attain Sagehood through the body alone. This showed just how difficult its cultivation was.

Yuan Tian had cultivated for nearly two billion years. His physical body had been tempered for nearly two billion years by the spiritual qi driven by the Ninefold Soul-Origin Mystic Art. Even so, his Eternal Imperishable Body had only barely reached Lesser Accomplishment. Great Accomplishment remained far beyond reach, and its difficulty exceeded even attaining Sagehood. Still, Yuan Tian's physical body was already extremely powerful. Its strength had reached that of a Mid-Grade Innate Spirit Treasure, roughly equivalent to the physical strength of the Heavenly Dao Dharma Body. To injure Yuan Tian's body, one would need cultivation no weaker than his own, as well as a Spirit Treasure at least at the level of a Mid-Grade Innate Spirit Treasure. Alternatively, one could wield a Spirit Treasure like the Witch-Slaying Sword, one specifically designed to harm physical bodies, to injure Yuan Tian's current body.

During cultivation, aside from requiring the spiritual qi of an Infinite Kalpa to temper the physical body, the Eternal Imperishable Body could also increase the body's strength through battle. By tempering the body's strength through combat, one could accelerate the rate at which it was refined.

Now that Yuan Tian's Eternal Imperishable Body had reached Lesser Accomplishment, he urgently needed battle to test his results and to increase the strength of his physical body. The Dragon Clan members before him were undoubtedly the best "test subjects" and combat targets. Therefore, these Dragon Clan members were destined for misery.
