By now, the verbal sparring between the Dragon Clan and Pang Heng had reached its peak. Since words could not settle this, they could only settle it with force.
"Hmph! Brothers, get him! Tear this crab to pieces!" Dragon Eighth grew impatient and was the first to raise the banner of battle.
"Hmph! Who dies is still anyone's guess..." Pang Heng had long since run out of patience. If the Dragon Clan wanted a fight, then they would fight.
Before Pang Heng could finish speaking, all thirteen dragons charged at him, completely ignoring Yuan Tian. Pang Heng was depressed, and Yuan Tian was depressed as well.
In a one-on-one fight, none of these Dragon Clan members would have been Pang Heng's match. But this was not a duel—it was one against a whole group! Did the Dragon Clan have no shame? If word got out, how would they continue to show their faces in the Primordial Wilderness? Pang Heng had originally wanted to use Yuan Tian's prowess to throw his weight around, but now every last one of them had rushed at him alone. Were they giving him too much respect? Even if they were, there was no need for all of them to come at once! Pang Heng felt extremely frustrated, though he was not afraid. After all, his boss was right beside him. Would his boss watch him fall into danger without helping? Of course not. Though this boss was usually rather unreliable, he would not let him down at a critical moment. Pang Heng firmly believed that.
Naturally, these Dragon Clan members did not know what Pang Heng was thinking. Even if they had, they would not have cared. What a joke. Fight one-on-one? Did he take them for fools? His cultivation was higher than that of any one of them—did he have the nerve to suggest a fair fight? Besides, these Dragon Clan members might have been playboys, but playboys were not idiots. Knowing they were no match for him, why would they insist on fighting him one-on-one? Would that not make them fools? As for the Dragon Clan losing face if news spread that they had ganged up on one person, that was easy to solve. They would just kill him. Then who would know? Would you know? Did you want to die? Not a single one of these Dragon Clan members was an idiot.
Yuan Tian was also deeply annoyed. There was a living person standing right here—how could they fail to notice him? Did they think he was air? Yuan Tian had originally wanted to use these Dragon Clan members to warm up, but he had not expected them to be so blind to courtesy. It was enough to infuriate him.
With a bang, the Dragon Clan members rushing toward Pang Heng heard a sound and turned toward it. One dragon had crashed onto the ground. Fine, Yuan Tian admitted that he had launched a sneak attack, but how could he be blamed? They had ignored him completely. Was that not refusing to give him face? This was the consequence of refusing to give him face, Yuan Tian thought domineeringly.
The Dragon Clan members were depressed now. They had originally planned to deal with this damned crab first, then take care of this informed witness. That fellow was obviously in league with the damned crab, so how could they have ignored him? They had merely intended to concentrate their forces on eliminating the damned crab first, then deal with that cursed Daoist. They had not expected him to dare launch a sneak attack.
"Dragon Thirteen!"
"Hey! You thieving Daoist, how dare you launch a sneak attack! Are you trying to make an enemy of our Dragon Clan? Do you have a death wish?" Seeing his younger brother beaten, Dragon Eighth was the first to lose his temper and immediately demanded an explanation.
"Well, it did not really count as a sneak attack. I shouted a warning before I struck," Yuan Tian said helplessly. As for Dragon Eighth's final remark, fine. If opposing the Dragon Clan meant opposing them, then so be it. They had already been enemies anyway.
"You gave a warning? Why didn't we know?" Dragon Eighth thought for a moment, then asked in a rather foolish manner.
Yuan Tian was speechless. He had only said it casually; Dragon Eighth only needed to hear it casually. Why was he asking so many pointless questions? "How would I know? Isn't your Dragon Clan always arrogant and convinced that you are the foremost of the three great races of the Primordial Wilderness? Who knew you would be so fragile?"
Dragon Eighth was unhappy the moment Yuan Tian said that. What did he mean by fragile?
He had launched a sneak attack and still acted as though he were in the right? Dragon Eighth was not someone who liked reasoning with others in the first place. After hearing Yuan Tian's words, he understood that there was always someone stronger. If he did not teach this fellow a lesson, he would never learn why the Dragon Clan was one of the three great overlords of the Primordial Wilderness. "Brothers, beat them! Beat them to death! Today, it is either them or us!" Dragon Eighth snarled.
The moment Dragon Eighth spoke, seven dragons immediately charged toward Yuan Tian. Pang Heng was delighted, and Yuan Tian was delighted as well.
"Oh, the pressure has finally eased. Boss is boss—one move, and he drew away most of them. How considerate. Having a boss really is great." Pang Heng saw that only five dragons remained around him—one had already been knocked to the ground by Yuan Tian and likely would not be able to fight again anytime soon—and felt incomparably relieved. Though his chances of winning against five alone were not high, it was still better than having no chance at all.
Yuan Tian was happy too. It seemed his plan had been right after all. At last, he could stretch his limbs a little. It had not been easy. If he did not move around soon, his bones would stiffen up. There were only seven of them, but they would do. As long as they could give him a proper workout, that was enough.
Thus, a battle of two against twelve began. The fight was divided into two separate battles. One was five against one, and it was quite intense. In a one-on-one fight, Pang Heng's cultivation was higher than that of every Dragon Clan member present, so even though he faced five at once, he could still put up a fight. The battle was extremely fierce. For the moment, Pang Heng was at a disadvantage while the Dragon Clan held the upper hand, gradually suppressing him. As for the other battle, it was Yuan Tian against seven dragons. Well, how should it be put? Miserable—too miserable. The seven dragons were being beaten senseless by Yuan Tian, beaten so badly it was unbearable to watch. The fight had only just begun. How were they already done for?
"What is going on? How can that guy be so strong?" While fighting Pang Heng, Dragon Eighth still had time to observe his surroundings. Seeing Yuan Tian mercilessly beat the seven dragons, he could not help but turn pale in shock.
"Dragon Ten, Dragon Twelve, hurry and support Dragon Fourteen and the others!" Dragon Eighth saw that this would not do. They had to send reinforcements.
Dragon Ten and Dragon Twelve had already noticed Dragon Fourteen's plight. The moment Dragon Eighth gave the order, they immediately broke away from the battle and rushed toward Yuan Tian.
Pang Heng had also heard Dragon Eighth's order and knew Dragon Ten and Dragon Twelve were leaving to support their brothers, but there was nothing he could do. He could only maintain his position without losing; he had no way to stop them. The instant Dragon Ten and Dragon Twelve left, Pang Heng immediately felt the pressure greatly lessen. It was as though his mental strength had suddenly improved considerably, and he was unexpectedly able to fight Dragon Eighth and the other two to a standstill.
As for Yuan Tian, when he saw two more Dragon Clan members coming over, he was overjoyed. Two more had come. It was still not enough, but they would have to do. Yuan Tian gradually reduced the strength in his hands and waited for the two dragons to arrive.
