The original Shen had comprehended Tidal Sword Intent in the Marrow Cleansing realm, but the reincarnated Shen initially possessed only inherited memories rather than the instinctive understanding needed to wield it. Fearing exposure as an abnormal soul or a ruined genius, he searched for a way to survive the impending Qi-Gathering Ceremony. 1
