Background

Dun Qu Qi Yi entered World Tree under a player ID and quickly became known for unusually rapid progression, crafting ability, and rare equipment. She explains that real-world professions can be reproduced in the game, provided the player has the corresponding experience and knowledge. 23 24

Her Pyro Vision manifested after she expressed a wish to experience the world beyond a life in which she had only seen white: to walk on the ground, see trees and the sky, and taste delicious food. A seven-colored flash appeared, but only a red beam descended and became the Vision at her waist. 24

Despite presenting herself as an ordinary Traveler, Dun Qu Qi Yi is secretly Jue, whom Skadi addresses as “Princess Jue.” She can inspect the system backend, determine when nearby players have logged off, and meet Skadi without being noticed by the other Travelers. 31

Dun Qu Qi Yi is introduced operating a player-run stall in the Elf Forest, where she barters Fire-Enchanted Arrows to Hawkeye for pork chops and Wild Boar tusks. She befriends Qi Lin over grilled meat and reveals that food can grant experience. 23

She later assists Qi Lin’s party against the Wild Boar King, protects Qi Lin with Paper Doll Technique, dissects the corpse, and turns its materials into equipment for the group. 27 28 29

Skadi’s Favored Traveler

Because of her relationship with Skadi, Dun Qu Qi Yi receives the escort quest involving Jiu Yue’s carriage before most players encounter story content. She assembles Qi Lin, Young Mistress, and Ali to defeat the Level 8 Corrosive Slime and escort the foxfolk merchant safely to the Player Camp. 36
