T-Virus? Definitely Nothing Good

Gwen woke up groggily in the morning. As usual, she yawned, got up, washed her face, and brushed her teeth. But just as she was about to turn on the faucet, she snapped it right off.

She froze, wondering if she was still dreaming.

How could a perfectly good faucet break off with one twist? She had to be dreaming, but the shock of the cold water made her realize this wasn't a dream...

She assumed the faucet had already been broken, but when she rushed to call her dad and have him shut off the valve, she smacked into the ceiling with a crack...

Gwen was completely dumbfounded. "What the fuck?"

She had no idea what was going on. She had only jumped lightly—since when had she been able to jump this high?

Still unaware of what had happened, Gwen discovered that her slight nearsightedness had somehow vanished. Even the dust on the floor was crystal clear to her.

In her excitement, she pulled out her phone to call Chen Xi, only to crack the screen by pressing the numbers too hard.

Looking at her handiwork, she finally realized that she had definitely mutated!

"Oh my God! I became a Mutant?"

Gwen wasn't panicking at all. Instead, she was incredibly excited. Becoming stronger was an instinct carved into every living creature's genes.

No one could resist the temptation of having superpowers beyond ordinary people. No one!

Gwen glared at him. All he knew how to do was tease her.

"Stay at my place for the next couple of days. Leave once you've practiced enough to control your mutation," Chen Xi said calmly.

"Then do you know what kind of mutation I have?"

"Don't worry too much. Judging from how you look, it's probably a physical mutation."

"Try controlling your abilities and see what changes you've got. Wouldn't that tell you?"

When faced with Gwen's questions, he played dumb despite knowing perfectly well.

It would be suspicious if he actually knew.

"Could I end up like some Mutants, becoming really ugly? Maybe even turning into some kind of monster?" Gwen asked quietly, worried again.

"Don't overthink it. Do you feel any changes in your body right now? Based on my years of experience, your mutation is pretty similar to Parker's."

"Mm-hm, I'll listen to you."

Gwen nodded obediently. She felt completely safe around Chen Xi, like no problem was a problem anymore.

Maybe that was why she had sought his help first thing when she panicked.

Just then, Wanda heard the commotion and came outside.

"Huh? Who's she?"

Wanda looked curiously at the girl in pajamas.

Did you sleepwalk all the way to my house?

At the same time, Gwen looked up at Wanda, who had emerged in an elegant set of expensive silk pajamas. Her grace and alluring figure made even Gwen look twice, especially at her ample chest, which seemed at least a cup size larger than hers.

So this is his girlfriend? She's truly a stunning woman. Their looks and figures do make a good match.

Gwen muttered to herself, then looked down at her own crazy appearance...

"Haha, let me introduce you. This is Gwen Stacy."

"Gwen, this is my girlfriend, Wanda."

Seeing Gwen barefoot with her hair in disarray, Wanda truly thought she had sleepwalked here.

Chen Xi smiled as he explained from the side. There was no need to hide this from Wanda.

"Huh? You're so lucky. I'm jealous."

After hearing that, Wanda looked at Gwen with open envy. How wonderful would it be if her body could mutate too?

"You don't mind? I know a lot of people discriminate against Mutants."

Gwen relaxed as well. At least Wanda didn't reject her, so she could stay here openly, right?

"If my body mutated, then Chen Xi wouldn't have to hold himself back so hard every night. I..."

Both Gwen and Wanda widened their eyes. Was there actually a superhero stronger than Captain America?

"Fine, I mean Captain America in his normal state. He has that director-forced fifty-fifty attribute—he can trade a few moves with anyone."

Chen Xi curled his lip helplessly. Steve had truly been mythologized by all of America.

"Is that serum of yours really that powerful?"

Wanda looked at him curiously. Had he scammed another high-tech product from some biotech company?

"Take away the question mark. I paid a ridiculously huge price to get this good stuff—the Perfect T-Virus Serum."

As he spoke, Chen Xi took out that dreamlike vial of serum.
