Mutant Students Were Stunned, Cyclops Was Heartbroken

When they returned to Mutant School, the X-Men and Professor X, Charles, were all waiting at the entrance.

As for the young Mutants, they were quietly poking their heads out from upstairs to sneak glances at the entrance. Had Teacher Jean Grey gone on a date and returned so late?

Children were born gossipers too, and their curiosity was even stronger than adults'. Telling them to hurry up and sleep was useless.

Shouldn't she have hurriedly explained herself? Instead, she was yelling at him?

"Enough, enough! Scott, you and I are just teammates and ordinary friends. Stop being so full of yourself, okay?"

Jean Grey quickly frowned and loudly cut off Scott's endless babbling. She didn't want Chen Xi to misunderstand and think there was anything between her and Scott.

Though it had only been a day, she had already decided that she was Chen Xi's girlfriend.

"Scott, calm down. Who Jean dates is her own choice. I may support the two of you as well, but love is a wonderful thing beyond anyone's control."

Seeing Cyclops on the verge of losing control, Professor X immediately told him to calm down. The telepathy of the master of minds carried an indescribable mental force, allowing Cyclops to settle down somewhat.

"Haha, friend from afar, aren't you going to get out and greet us? We're Jean's family, after all."

What had seemed like a powder-keg interrogation instantly turned into a massive fan meet-and-greet. Young Mutants chased celebrities too.

Cyclops was practically smoking with rage. You unreliable bunch! Didn't we agree just now to stand united against the outsider? And now you'd immediately defected to the enemy?

A bunch of fence-sitters!

"Hmph, he's just a screenwriter. You're so weak—how are you supposed to protect Jean Grey? We're all Mutants and could face danger at any time. Don't tell me you're just going to hold her back?"

Cyclops' eyes darted around, and he quickly found the weak point for striking back at Chen Xi. They were all Mutants, while he was merely an intellectual with no strength to fight.

Cyclops smugly gave himself a mental thumbs-up. Scott, Scott, you're a damn genius.

Pleased with his desperate counterattack, he immediately winked provocatively at Chen Xi, looking unbearably smug.

I may not be able to write scripts or make movies, but you can't fight!

The others suddenly realized it too. That was right. They were people from entirely different worlds. What good ending could possibly come from forcing them together?

Colossus also gave Scott a thumbs-up.

"Kid, you really do have plenty of clever ideas!"

"Exactly. You're just a brute who only knows how to use his fists. Without your Mutant abilities, you'd probably be hauling bricks somewhere."

Shadowcat, who feared neither heaven nor earth, was a hopeless romantic.

Seeing her idol dating Teacher Jean Grey, whom she was very close to, she felt both envious and happy for them. How could she let him act so arrogantly?

Cyclops had been rebuked several times, and his old face could no longer bear it.

"Enough, Scott. Mr. Chen Xi is far from as simple as you think. Let it go."
