Mutant Students Went Numb, Cyclops Was Heartbroken

When they returned to the mutant school, the X-Men and Professor X, Charles Xavier, were all waiting at the entrance.

As for the younger Mutants, they were secretly peeking down from upstairs, trying to see what was happening at the door. Had Ms. Jean Grey gone on a date and only just returned this late?

Children were born gossips too. Their curiosity was even stronger than adults', so telling them to hurry up and sleep was useless.

The other Mutants also looked teasingly at Chen Xi, who had yet to get out of the driver's seat. What rich young master had the guts to pursue a thorny rose like Jean?

Those rich kids really weren't afraid of death when looking for thrills. Were they not afraid of capsizing in a ditch?

Hearing Cyclops shout so self-righteously, Jean Grey was even more baffled. "Why are you yelling? What does this have to do with you? Do I need to report everything I do to you?"

"Jean! How can you treat me like this? Everyone at the mutant school knows that you and I are boyfriend and girlfriend!"

Cyclops's eyes widened as he stared at Jean Grey in disbelief and shouted. It was as if he had suffered the gravest humiliation.

Shouldn't she have hurried to explain herself? Instead, she was yelling at him?

"Stop, stop, stop! Scott, you and I are just teammates and ordinary friends. Can you stop being so full of yourself?"

Jean Grey hurriedly frowned and loudly stopped Scott's endless rambling. She didn't want Chen Xi to misunderstand and think she had anything going on with Scott.

Though it had only been one day, she had already decided that she was Chen Xi's girlfriend.

"Scott, calm down. Who Jean dates is her own freedom. I do think the two of you would make a good match, but love is a marvelous thing beyond anyone's control."

Seeing Cyclops on the verge of losing control, Professor X immediately told him to calm down. The telepathy of the master of minds carried an indescribable mental force, allowing Cyclops to settle down a little.

"Haha, friend from afar, won't you get out and greet us? We're Jean's family, after all."

Charles smiled warmly toward the car. Naturally, he knew Chen Xi's identity, and he was deeply shocked as well.

Cyclops was practically smoking with rage. You unreliable bunch! Hadn't they just agreed to unite against a common enemy? How had they immediately defected to the other side?

"Hmph, you're just a screenwriter. How can someone as weak as you protect Jean Grey? We're all Mutants, and we could face danger at any time. Don't tell me you'll only hold her back?"

Cyclops's eyes spun as he found the perfect point to strike back at Chen Xi. They were all Mutants, while he was merely a cultured man with no strength to truss a chicken.
