Background / History

Ain is five years older than Noki and grew up alongside him in Marineford. Like Noki, she lost her parents as a child of Marine martyrs; their shared circumstances gradually made them each other's closest family. She repeatedly confessed to him before they became a couple. 1 3

While serving as Zephyr's teaching assistant, Ain was among the trainees endangered by Weevil's attack on Zephyr's expeditionary force. Noki secretly persuaded Kuzan to shadow the expedition, preventing the disaster; Ain believed Noki had acted solely out of concern for her safety. 1

After Noki obtained the Dark-Dark Fruit, Ain worried about its painful drawbacks but supported his decision and helped clean the fruit. She later gave him Golden Scale, a Twenty-One Great Grade Blade acquired from Zephyr, and spent her savings on its scabbard. 1 3

Ain remained at Headquarters during Noki's initial Loguetown assignment. Their long-distance relationship intensified her anxieties over his female disciples and admirers, prompting Zephyr to arrange her transfer through Kuzan's authority. 8 12

Personality
