Background / History

Enoch contracted Silver Disease Bacteria at approximately ten years old. Forced to abandon his flesh, he sold his spine to obtain an engineering-machine body. He then worked in Scrapheap Town for over a decade, earning well but retaining no savings because of reckless spending. 2

He developed feelings for Yulia, another heavy engineering machine, but his unwanted rubbing and scraping against her body frightened and disgusted her. His jealousy intensified after the amnesiac “Yawg” began staying with Yulia’s son, Youji. Enoch threatened Yawg to leave before the next Gene Tax, but did not dare run him over because killing a human or destroying a Biological Brain would cost him Civilization Protection. 2

Enoch later recruited Vili to harass Yawg and arranged for him to be pushed into the tax collector’s fighting ring. When Vili panicked after Yawg defeated Will Grand Dog, Enoch tried to distract him with a trip to a service station rather than confront the consequences. 17 35

Leif intercepted Enoch, shot out one of his tires, killed Vili to preserve secrecy, and coerced Enoch into revealing everything he knew about Yawg and Scrapheap Town. Enoch’s resentment toward Yawg made him cooperative, though he asked Leif not to harm Youji. 19

When Leif attacked Scrapheap Town, Enoch was forced to guide him to Youji’s home. He fled after the battle, carrying the data packet Leif transmitted before dying; the packet contained intelligence on Xiang Shan and the coordinates of the Z Organization’s hideout. 27 41

Enoch is a heavily cyberized engineering machine whose initial body resembles an enormous transport truck with a detachable cab, cargo bed, camera, and tire-based locomotion. 2

Enoch is jealous, insecure, and intensely preoccupied with status. He sees contact with powerful thugs such as Leif as proof that he is superior to ordinary townspeople, even while being terrified enough to immediately flatter and obey them. 18

His desire for Yulia is possessive rather than affectionate. Testosterone injections awakened impulses his machine body could not properly express, and he never learned to reconcile those instincts with his cybernetic condition. 18 47 By the time he returns as a Z Organization martial artist, he blames Xiang Shan for the town’s suffering and treats Yulia as something he can win through power. 41

After Geliad fatally damages Yulia’s Biological Brain, Enoch descends into violent delirium. He repeatedly rams her vehicle body while declaring his love, seeking to make their machines “stay together forever.” 47

Leif’s Raid on Scrapheap Town

After revealing information to Leif, Enoch becomes entangled in the planned raid on Scrapheap Town. He reluctantly leads Leif to Youji’s home during the hostage operation, prioritizing his own safety once assured that Yulia is unharmed. 27

Z Organization Recruit

Leif’s dying message gives Enoch a route to the Z Organization. He survives the wilderness journey, gains Military Martial Way training, and returns convinced that becoming a martial artist will let him claim Yulia and avenge himself on Xiang Shan. 41

Breakdown and Defeat

During Geliad’s attack, Enoch openly cheers for Xiang Shan’s death. After Yulia is fatally wounded, he becomes delusional and repeatedly crashes into her body. Xiang Shan disables him by removing his driveshafts, but a welfare officer interrupts the attempted execution. 42 47
