As expected, when Lester and Harry entered, they immediately caught the attention of the arrogant Malfoy.

Since Lester and Harry looked to be around his age, and their curious, wandering expressions led Malfoy to immediately guess that they were also new students at Hogwarts.

"You ignorant bumpkin," Malfoy muttered with utter disdain.

However, despite his dismissive attitude towards Lester and Harry, Malfoy's attention was still involuntarily drawn to the two peers.

Actually, he hadn't been to Diagon Alley Diagon Alley times. Malfoy was also incredibly curious about this magical and bustling street, but as a nobleman, he naturally couldn't show any signs of being unsophisticated.

Malfoy thought to himself with a touch of smugness, and his little head involuntarily tilted up.

"Hey, are you a new student at Hogwarts too?" Somehow, just as Malfoy was being arrogant, Harry managed to sneak up next to Malfoy and asked Malfoy curiously.

"Of course," Malfoy replied without hesitation, "My father is next door buying me books, and my mother is buying me a wand."

Having lived at the Malfoy Manor all his life, Young Malfoy never had any friends his own age to play with. As for the other Pure-blood families, Malfoy's relationship with them was more like a charade.

At family banquets, his criteria for making friends were not based on his personal preferences, but rather on the other person's family background, which meant that Malfoy never had a single peer he could chat with.

Now that a first-year wizard is suddenly willing to talk to him, Malfoy is naturally happy to say a few more words.

"I'm going to drag them to see flying brooms. I don't understand why first-graders can't have their own flying brooms. I think I'm going to force my dad to buy me one, and then find a way to sneak it in."

Malfoy spoke slowly and deliberately, but after he finished speaking, he carefully observed Harry's expression, wanting to see how he would react.

Actually, he had a reason for saying that. If you want to become friends with someone, you naturally need to talk about a topic that both of you are interested in.

In the Wizarding World, no young wizard can resist the allure of a flying broomstick. Malfoy believed that if he could share his insights about flying broomsticks with this dark-haired wizard and promise to ride them together in the future, he would gain his first friend.

The first friend was someone I chose myself, not someone my parents arranged.

Unfortunately, Malfoy was overthinking things. Presenting a flying broomstick to Harry, who was visiting the Wizarding World for the first time, was like throwing a wink at a blind man; Harry had no idea what he was talking about.

Just as the atmosphere was about to become awkward, Lester made his appearance.

"Have you made any new friends, Harry?" Lester walked over confidently, still wearing the wizard robes that Madam Malkin had just made for him.

Wearing a handsome and gorgeous wizard's robe, coupled with Lester's outstanding temperament, even the proud Young Malfoy had to admit that this kid must be from a noble family.

"Hello, my name is Lester, and I'm Harry's good friend!"

"My name is Draco... I'm also a freshman at Hogwarts," Malfoy hesitated for a moment before finally stating his name.

Unlike the China, Westerners have very particular rules for how their names and surnames are pronounced.

In England, only close friends address each other by their first names. For example, when Lester calls Harry, he calls him by his Harry, Harry, not Potter.

"I overheard you guys talking about flying brooms. Would you be interested in checking out a flying broom shop later?"

Hearing Lester's words, both Harry and Malfoy hesitated.

First, there's Harry. Actually, when he spoke his first words to this freshman of the same age, it was as if he turned and left, because the boy's arrogant tone easily reminded him of Dudley, his uncle's dim-witted son, who always took pleasure in bullying him.

Moreover, this boy named Draco always spoke very slowly, as if a big frog was stuck in his throat, a tone that inexplicably annoyed Harry.

Not only Harry hesitated, but Malfoy was also undecided.

Despite his boastful words, he's actually just a spoiled little boy. In all his life, he's never gone out alone; he's always been accompanied by his parents.

Therefore, when asked whether he could go with Lester and Harry to see the flying broomsticks, Malfoy's first thought was whether his parents would agree.

Just as Harry looked resistant and Malfoy hesitated, a figure with a very aristocratic air appeared in Madam Malkin's Robes.

"Draco, have you chosen your clothes yet? We need to go back to the manor for an etiquette lesson later."

"Father, I'm choosing," Malfoy replied sullenly to Lucius, his mood somewhat downcast as he began selecting clothes.

"You two go look at the flying broomsticks. I'm not interested in those little kids' toys," Malfoy said, sounding a bit down. After saying this to Lester and Harry, he casually picked out a few well-fitting wizard robes and followed his father out of Madam Malkin's Robes with his head down.

"What a strange boy, isn't he, Lester?"

Harry felt a pang of sadness after witnessing Malfoy's departure.

Lester nodded in agreement.

Perhaps this is the downside of being a noble; others only see how elegant the Slytherin nobles are, but they don't see the hard work they do behind the scenes. You could say it's a win-win situation.

Of course, Lester was referring to noble families like the Malfoy; those useless purebloods who only had the title of noble but were ignorant and incompetent were not in Lester's category.

"Come on, Harry, pick out a few clothes. Hagrid is already waiting for us outside."

Children's troubles come and go quickly. Harry, who was just feeling a little upset about Malfoy's plight, quickly put Malfoy out of his mind.

Right now, all he could see out the window was the giant ice cream in Hagrid's hand—a creamy flavor topped with shredded cheese, Harry's favorite.

Unfortunately, because my uncle's family doesn't like me, I rarely have the chance to eat such delicious ice cream.

So, tempted by the delicious ice cream, Harry successfully forgot about his first encounter with Malfoy.

Little did they know that at the other end of Diagon Alley, Young Malfoy was still muttering his and Lester's names.

"Harry, Lester, if we were both born into nobility, perhaps we could become friends at Hogwarts."

"What if they weren't nobles?" Malfoy, somewhat troubled, then shook his head indifferently, "Some extraordinary talent would also work."
