Malfoy Sent You a Friend Request
Just as Lester was about to find a seat in the back row, he saw a small platinum-blonde head looking at him.
"Lester, you are very strong and capable. I think we can be friends."
Malfoy tried to appear calm, even though his calves were trembling slightly.
Goyle and Crabbe, Malfoy's two regular henchmen, didn't even show up.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see them huddled behind their books, looking constipated, cautiously observing the situation.
Lester smiled knowingly. He knew that Goyle and Crabbe were unreliable and that their current allegiance to the Malfoy was merely due to the Malfoy family's power.
"You want to be friends with me?" Lester looked Malfoy up and down with interest, his gaze scrutinizing.
Malfoy, feeling a little nervous under her gaze, forced himself to remain calm and said, "I see you becoming friends with Neville, that stupid Gryffindor kid."
"I'm not questioning your taste in friends, but you're Slytherin, you should know who's better suited to be your friend."
Malfoy grew increasingly confident, saying, "I am the sole heir of the Malfoy family. If we become friends, you will gain the friendship of the Malfoy family in the future!"
The Malfoy family, as the most powerful family in the Wizarding World, is a force to be reckoned with.
Looking at Malfoy, who was clearly incredibly nervous but trying to appear calm, Lester said indifferently, "I am Muggle-born."
Upon hearing this, Malfoy was torn between his own feelings and his inner turmoil.
Although he had been mentally prepared, Malfoy was still somewhat troubled now that he had actually encountered it.
His father told him from a young age that Muggle-born were despicable, that they were the offspring of fools, and that they were not worthy of learning magic with them.
But Lester's behavior over the past few days told him Lester this Muggle-born wizard seemed more noble than them, the pure-bloods.
"It's alright," Malfoy gritted his teeth and said nonchalantly, "I never consider these things when making friends."
Lester gave Malfoy a deep look, making Malfoy feel uneasy.
The sole heir of the famous Malfoy family said he doesn't care about family background when making friends?
Lester knew this was just a way for him to save face.
However, since Malfoy is being so accommodating, he might as well bring Young Malfoy. along.
Although Malfoy is a villain in the original story, it must be said that he is indeed a talented individual.
Besides, aren't all the prisoners under his command, and Jiedi's three lackeys, villains?
Lester reached out and patted Malfoy on the shoulder, saying casually, "In that case, we can certainly be friends."
Malfoy was overjoyed. In fact, although Lester was incredibly domineering, Malfoy had long wanted to do what Leicester had done.
So becoming friends with Lester wasn't out of fear of being bullied by Lester in the future, but because Malfoy genuinely wanted to be Lester's friend.
Jiedi, who was behind him, also took a step forward and said, "Hello Draco, my name is Jiedi, his name is Kitty, and his name is Miti."
After Lester introduced his men, Malfoy went to stand beside Goyle and Crabbe.
Looking at the trembling Goyle and Crabbe, Malfoy felt utterly ashamed.
"His name is Goyle, his name is Crabbe."
After a brief introduction, Malfoy didn't say much more. Clearly, Goyle and Crabbe's performance made him, as the eldest brother, feel embarrassed.
After sitting down right next to Goyle and Crabbe, the two idiots were still a little taken aback.
They only became excited after Malfoy told them that they were now on Lester's side.
Malfoy couldn't help but dig three bedrooms and a living room in the ground with his toes, seeing that smug look on Malfoy's face.
Fortunately, at that moment, Professor Binns, the ghost professor of Hogwarts, slowly floated in.
As always, Professor Binns maintained his perpetually cold expression, scanning the students in the classroom with emotionless eyes.
However, Lester noticed a hint of surprise in Professor Binns' eyes when he saw him.
It wasn't that Lester was particularly perceptive; it was simply too obvious that a ghost who had been keeping the same gaze would suddenly change its expression to one of surprise.
Not only did Lester notice Professor Binns's odd behavior, but Malfoy did as well.
"Lester, why is Professor Binns giving you such a strange look?" Malfoy nudged Lester's arm and whispered.
Lester seemed to be deep in thought, realizing that his sorting process had been interfered with by some powerful figure.
Could there be some secret hidden here?
Lester looked at Professor Binns, who was clearly acting differently, and said calmly, "Foolish thing, Professor Binns was obviously looking at you just now!"
"Look at me?" Malfoy was a little confused. Indeed, he was sitting next to Lester.
Professor Binns is still undecided about who he's after.
Lester nodded knowingly, and said seriously, "I've looked through the notes left by the upperclassmen in the Slytherin Common Room."
"It contains many stories about Professor Binns and his students."
Malfoy's eyes lit up immediately. Professor Binns and his student—just thinking about it was exciting!
Seeing that Malfoy's appetite had been piqued, Lester began to speak slowly.
"Other professors all returned to heaven after death, but Professor Binns became a ghost. Do you know why?"
Upon hearing this, many Slytherin students nearby became interested and instinctively pricked up their ears to listen.
Malfoy was so anxious he was scratching his head, wishing Lester would tell him the reason as soon as possible.
Lester, not wanting to keep him in suspense, began to fabricate a story. "Professor Binns had a hobby when he was alive."
"This hobby was a bit embarrassing to talk about back then, but it's fine to say it now: Professor Binns actually prefers men."
As soon as he finished speaking, Malfoy froze, completely stunned.
Lester continued, "Professor Binns had a roommate with platinum blonde hair back then, yes, he was an ancestor of your Malfoy family."
"The two ate together, slept together, and played together in Slytherin; they were practically best buddies."
"But your ancestors didn't know that this wasn't friendship, it was love!"
"Although thousands of years have passed, Professor Binns's sight of your platinum blonde hair may have reminded him of the past, which is why he reacted this way."
Seeing that Malfoy seemed somewhat skeptical, Lester continued, "If you don't believe me, you can raise your hand and ask Professor Binns a question, and see his reaction."
Malfoy was somewhat skeptical, but seeing the expectant looks on the faces of the other Slytherin, Malfoy resolutely raised his hand.
Damn it, if I don't prove it, the news that Professor Binns likes me will probably spread throughout the entire Hogwarts. Then how will I, this Draco, be able to stay in the game?
Seeing Malfoy raise his hand, Lester immediately straightened his face and activated his Boggart shapeshifting ability, turning his eyes emerald green.
His own face also subtly transformed into the Slytherin image he remembered.
Sure enough, when Professor Binns called out to Malfoy, he unsurprisingly glanced at Lester, whom he was focusing on.
Seeing the change in Lester's expression, his eyes changed again.
Unlike last time, this time Professor Binns ' eyes were full of wariness and vigilance, as well as a barely perceptible hint of pity.
Lester's heart skipped a beat; this ghost definitely knew something.
