A Teacher's Good Assistant, a Classmate's Good Example
Because Filch was given Squib Wand, Filch treated Lester and Malfoy very well.
They were allowed to rest in the office during the day, and were not allowed to participate in the night patrols; they were simply sent back to their dormitories to rest.
The next morning, the first-year Slytherin wizards gathered as usual outside Lester's dormitory, waiting for their older brother to come out.
A large group of young wizards gathered in the lounge, drawing surprised glances from many of the older wizards.
They didn't expect that, just one week into the new school year, Slytherin's first-year students would elect an elder brother.
Without keeping his men waiting long, Lester quickly emerged from the dormitory, then waved his hand, and the group headed to the canteen.
While eating in the cafeteria, the young wizards excitedly recounted their thrilling experiences from Friday.
After lunch, the group headed to the Charms classroom.
As usual, Gryffindor sat on one side and Slytherin on the other.
However, this time Lester didn't sit at the very front; instead, he sat in the middle.
Since both the professor's praise and bonuses earn Task Points, and my subordinates also earn points from these praises, I feel it's necessary to lead everyone in their studies.
Sitting in the very center allows for a good overall view, and Lester wants to see who isn't paying attention in class!
Before class started, Lester instructed Malfoy, "Your spellcasting is pretty good. Go to the front and help the other students."
With attacks coming from all sides, Malfoy was in charge of the front row, while he himself was in charge of the middle and back rows.
The main problem with Slytherin is that they lack talent; everyone is either an idiot or a moron. Apart from Malfoy, there's no one who can fight.
So I guess I'll just have to put up with this.
Soon after, Professor Flitwick arrived, a legendary wizard who was only 1.4 meters tall and had half- Goblin blood.
However, don't underestimate him because of his size, because he is not only the headmaster of Ravenclaw House, but also a champion of several fighting tournaments in his youth.
Because Professor Flitwick was not tall enough, he had to stand on a stool every time he taught a class so that everyone could see him.
"Today we'll learn the Levitation Charm!" Professor Flitwick raised his wand and demonstrated it to all the students.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Flitwick chanted the spell, and with a gentle tap of his wand, the feathers on the platform floated up.
After demonstrating the effect, Professor Flitwick began his lecture.
"First, your posture must be correct," Professor Flitwick said, repeating the spellcasting posture several times.
The young wizards in the audience all tried to imitate him, but unfortunately, apart from a few children from Pure-blood families, almost none of them had the correct spellcasting posture.
In the Wizarding World, young wizards rarely have the opportunity to cast spells unless they are intentionally trained.
Because magic is wondrous and precise, a single mispronounced spell can have unexpected consequences.
Therefore, even in Pure-blood families, young wizards cannot freely cast spells without supervision.
Not to mention the young wizards from the Muggle World, who aren't even qualified to cast spells outside of school.
"Very good, Mr. Bide, your posture is perfect." Flitwick stepped down from the podium and went to check each student's posture.
Seeing Lester's casting animation, Flitwick was very satisfied and had Lester demonstrate it several more times in front of everyone.
To earn points from Flitwick, Lester naturally demonstrated it several times earnestly.
"Excellent, very good!" Flitwick led the applause, saying, "Slytherin 10 points!"
[Ding! You have received Professor Flitwick's praise. Task Points +1]
[Ding! You have gained 1 bonus Task Points for Professor Flitwick's mission.]
[Ding! Received Professor Flitwick's praise Task Points +1]
Lester's eyes lit up. Three Task Points in just a few minutes— Professor Flitwick was a real goldmine.
Without hesitation, Lester raised his wand, pointed it at the feather on the table, and chanted, "Wingardium Leviosa."
As expected, the Levitation Charm was successfully cast, and the feather floated up smoothly.
Professor Flitwick paused for a moment, then exclaimed happily, "Slytherin, 5 points!"
[Ding! You have gained 1 bonus Task Points for Professor Flitwick's mission.]
No teacher dislikes a genius, so Flitwick generously gave Lester extra points.
Then, Flitwick returned to the podium and began to emphasize the pronunciation of the incantation.
After emphasizing this for over ten minutes, Flitwick slowly said, "Now, you can start practicing with confidence."
Upon hearing Professor Flitwick's words, many young wizards eagerly began practicing.
Unfortunately, the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment; not every student is Lester.
Five minutes later, apart from Hermione from Gryffindor making the feather move slightly, everyone else in the classroom had accomplished nothing.
Even Malfoy, with a grim expression, waved his wand and chanted spells, hoping to make the feathers fly.
For some reason, he wasn't in a hurry at first, but when he saw Hermione make the feather move, he panicked terribly.
"I must succeed before her!" Malfoy thought to himself, his wand flashing rapidly.
Lester, who had successfully cast the spell, saw the anxious Malfoy and immediately got up and went over to him.
"Malfoy, you're doing it wrong!" Lester said, grabbing Malfoy's hand and guiding him through the steps.
Malfoy was taken aback at first, but when he saw Lester teaching him, he immediately began to study diligently.
"First raise your hand, then walk to the right, and finally lower it."
Lester really went to great lengths to earn the Task Points, personally teaching Malfoy how to cast spells.
After a few minutes of earnest instruction, Lester released Malfoy's hand and said calmly, "Try it yourself."
Malfoy quickly raised his wand and tried it on the feather again.
However, this time he was a little nervous under Lester's gaze, so he got anxious and the feathers trembled slightly twice but did not take off.
Nevertheless, Malfoy was incredibly excited because he had finally caught up with Hermione's pace!
Just as Malfoy was about to thank Lester, he noticed that Lester looked displeased and was rummaging through his person.
"Lester, what are you looking for?" Malfoy asked in a low voice.
Lester casually replied, "Is it nothing? I've taught others before, and I have a teaching aid that can improve students' learning efficiency, so I'm looking for it."
Malfoy sensed something was wrong. Teaching aids?
"Where did I put my original teaching materials?" Lester frowned, rummaging through the Undetectable Extension Bag with her little hands.
Half a minute later, Lester's eyes lit up as a rough stone knife appeared in his hand.
The knife was made of black stone and painted with red paint. The handle was very rough, and the tip hadn't been sharpened in a long time.
However, when Malfoy saw the knife, he still instinctively shuddered.
Because he could feel a deep chill emanating from the knife.
"Lester, your teaching aids are really strange. They're stained with red paint, and not even completely," Malfoy said dryly.
Lester, holding a small stone knife, said calmly, "You misunderstand. It was originally black, and I never colored it."
Malfoy: "..."
"Now, I'll teach you one last time. Watch carefully, learn well, and don't disappoint me." Lester, expressionless, slowly repeated the casting motions and incantation once more.
This time, Malfoy didn't dare to lose focus for a moment, wishing he could keep his eyes glued to Lester.
Previously, Lester had been teaching him step by step, but he was somewhat distracted. However, now...
Looking at the small stone knife on the table, Malfoy subconsciously swallowed.
No matter how dried up blood is, it's still blood. As the heir to the Malfoy family, he had that much to know.
