Halloween Arrives
In the Wizarding World today, apart from wealthy families like the Malfoy who have no worries about food or drink, most other people are living hand to mouth.
Take the Weasley family, for example. They are 28 pure-blood families, and the father is even a civil servant in the Ministry of Magic. They still live in poverty, let alone other Muggle-born and Half-blood wizards.
"Thank you, Brother Lai! Thank you, Brother Lai! From now on, you're like a brother to me!"
Fute immediately changed his stance and became Lester's underling.
Even though he's in fifth grade and Lester is in first, so what?
They're powerful and have businesses outside the company, which can provide jobs for their whole family. Isn't that a golden opportunity?
"Alright, these are all minor matters. Tomorrow, have your parents go to this place; this is my shop."
Lester gave Fute the Guild's address and instructed, "From now on, they'll be in charge of cleaning!"
After subduing Fute, Lester didn't waste any words. Looking at Thompson, whose face was filled with resentment, he said calmly:
"Prefect Thompson, don't look at me like that. I'm tying you up for your own good. Otherwise, if you really ruined that girl, even casting you a hundred times wouldn't be enough to make up for it."
As he spoke, Lester took Thompson's water glass, brought it to Thompson's lips, and said softly:
"Here, have a sip of water. If you have no problems after ten minutes, we will definitely release you."
To be honest, when I was feeling really horny, Thompson was sweating profusely and quite thirsty.
When Lester handed him a glass of water, he naively thought Lester wanted to reconcile with him.
"You're smart enough to know what's good for you!" Thompson cursed, then gulped down the entire glass of water.
Seeing this, Lester's smile deepened. He placed the empty water glass on the table, and, having accomplished his task, left without a trace, concealing his merit and fame.
A week has passed since the Slytherin Prefect scandal, in which the male and female Prefect of Slytherin were removed from their positions by Professor Snape for having inappropriate relationships with women.
Slytherin currently has no Prefect, but it's obvious to everyone who's in Slytherin!
"Brother Lai, please sit in the front, the air is fresh here!"
Inside the restaurant, Lester was immediately surrounded by enthusiastic seventh-graders as soon as he arrived.
They showered him with concern and even practically knelt before Lester, begging Lester to be their elder brother.
Unfortunately, jobs in the Wizarding World are extremely hard to find these days.
In the Muggle World, if you really can't find a job, you can still work in a factory tightening screws, or at the very least, you can become a salesperson.
However, in the Wizarding World, there are no jobs that require cheap labor, or rather, jobs that require cheap labor would never be offered to wizards.
Take the Malfoy family's factory, for example. All the employees there are Goblin and Squib, and apart from the management, there are almost no wizards.
In the entire Wizarding World, only wizards are allowed to wield wands, not because of the law, but because of the wizards' cruel methods.
If purebloods are so cruel to Muggle-born who are also wizards, they certainly don't treat other races as human beings.
Although a wizard with magic is more efficient than a hundred Goblin, so what?
According to the law, the minimum wage for wizards is 15 Galleon per month; if they break the law, their factories will be raided.
Rather than spending 15 Galleon a month to hire a wizard to work for you, it's better to order a bunch of lowly Goblin to do the work for the price of a meal.
You're talking about Magical Creatures Protection Act? That's a joke!
For non-wizard magical races, wizards would simply use Killing Curse to kill them in the street.
The Auror came over, mainly to investigate why the Unforgivable Curse was used. As for the deaths of those non-magical races, sorry, they were Fantastic Beasts, not the Auror' concern.
Why hire a wizard to serve you when there are better targets to exploit?
As a result, there are fewer and fewer jobs in the Wizarding World, and more and more people are unemployed.
Don't think that just because you graduated from Hogwarts and know a few spells, you're all that great.
Everyone graduates from Hogwarts; who doesn't know a few magic tricks? In the end, we all end up not being able to find jobs.
"Brother Lai, I've asked the kitchen, and they've prepared your favorite China dishes today. I've already instructed them to put all the China dishes in front of you later."
Fute was a sycophant; in order to curry favor with Lester, he even went so far as to exchange a few recipes with Cho Chang, the China -American wizard in Ravenclaw House.
It was specially delivered to the kitchen, and the House-elf were instructed to make extra, specifically for Lester.
Enjoying Fute's service with a clear conscience, Lester took in the restaurant's decor.
Several large skull models were magically frozen in the air above the restaurant, along with several large pumpkin heads, emitting will-o'-the-wisps, floating erratically in the sky.
The little wizards in the restaurant were all dressed in strange costumes, pretending to be monsters and ghosts, trying to scare others.
Lester knew it was Halloween.
After finishing breakfast, Lester returned to the lounge and, as soon as he opened the door, saw Malfoy dressed as a vampire.
"So, Lester, how do I look? This outfit was custom-made by my father from Mrs. Morgan."
Malfoy arrogantly fiddled with his vampire suit, showing off his attire to Lester.
Looking at the vain Malfoy, Lester said calmly, "You don't want to go to Professor Flitwick's Charms dressed like that, do you?"
"I bet Professor Flitwick will kick you out because of your ridiculous clothes."
Malfoy's expression froze. Indeed, although it was Halloween, he still had to go to class.
Professor Flitwick, though not old-fashioned, would certainly not allow a flamboyantly dressed clown to teach his class.
"Okay, wait for me, I'll go change into my wizard robes!"
A few minutes later, Malfoy, now back to normal, went with Lester to the Charms class.
Because it's Halloween, the little wizards in the classroom are very excited and eagerly discussing the celebrations for tonight.
Harry, Ron Weasley, and Hermione, the three Gryffindor students, ended up together again.
Because Hermione cleverly stopped Snape, Harry was very grateful to Hermione afterward when Harry found out.
And so, Hermione gained her first friend in Gryffindor, Harry!
As for Ron Weasley, this Weasley family boy had a strong dislike for the good student Hermione, whom he considered a haughty white swan.
In fact, he simply didn't understand why Harry would want to be friends with such an annoying person.
She just saved his life during Quidditch Match; a simple thank you would have been enough.
