Leaving in Anger
From the High Table, Dumbledore, seemingly oblivious to the discontent of the other houses, announced loudly, "Now, please enjoy your lunch."
Suddenly, many delicacies that were hard to find in the market appeared on the table all at once, but apart from Gryffindor, everyone lost their appetite.
Bang!
Lester's face darkened. He slammed his hand on the table, stood up, gave Dumbledore a deep look, then turned and left in a huff.
It's better not to eat this!
Bang!
Bang, bang!!
Bang, bang, bang!!!
Just as Lester stood up, several more slaps echoed from the Slytherin table, followed by several more Slytherin standing up with grim faces and turning to leave.
It was like setting a huge fire in the forest; the sound of tables being slammed echoed throughout the Slytherin dining room, and one Slytherin after another stormed out.
Even Malfoy, who was extremely particular about table manners, slammed his fist on the table in anger, stood up, and turned to leave.
In an instant, within just a few minutes, the entire Slytherin dining room was deserted, leaving only a table laden with sumptuous food, still steaming with delicious aroma.
Faced with these delicacies, the Slytherin snakes turned a blind eye, not even touching them. They all stood up, turned around, and left, expressing their dissatisfaction with Dumbledore.
Watching the Slytherin storm off in anger, Dumbledore expressionless, his expression unreadable. However, his Dumbledore eyes revealed his utmost seriousness.
"Albus, I'm not feeling well right now, so I'll be leaving now!"
As soon as the Slytherin students left, Professor Snape, with a serious expression, placed his knife and fork on the table and silently departed, leaving Professor McGonagall sitting there awkwardly.
Dumbledore remained silent about Snape's departure, only a hint of displeasure flashing in his eyes.
He wasn't dissatisfied with Snape; in fact, he knew that Snape had never been very obedient to him.
The only reason Snape, the Potions Master, was willing to work for him was for Potter's sake.
His dissatisfaction stemmed from the Slytherin students, this group of disobedient students, this group who stormed off at the most important occasion at Hogwarts.
Slytherin's departure made him uneasy. Dumbledore liked the feeling of having everything under control, but now, with various events unfolding, he felt that the situation was increasingly beyond his grasp.
Almost all the students had gathered in the Slytherin Common Room.
Unlike their previous jubilation, everyone, including Lester, looked grim and lifeless.
"Dumbledore's behavior is far too unseemly!" Lester exclaimed in dissatisfaction.
He knew Dumbledore would favor Harry, but he didn't expect it to be so blatant, it was downright arrogant.
Dumbledore was determined to be the strongest in the Wizarding World, and that his words were the truth. That's why he dared to blatantly steal Neville's credit and then stuff all the honors into Harry's hands.
However, Lester wasn't going to tolerate Dumbledore temper; he wasn't in this business to be subservient to others!
Malfoy was furious, furiously writing a letter. "I must tell my father all this! I will expose Dumbledore's injustice!"
The other Slytherin were also very dissatisfied. 100 points, 100 points, and the reasons were all very inexplicable. No one could be happy about that!
Just as all the little snakes were sulking and hungry, the door to the Slytherin Common Room opened.
Professor Snape Severus Snape, with his striking good looks, walked in, dragging his long robes and wearing a cold expression.
"Professor Snape." Many of the little snakes dared not look Snape in the eye. They followed Lester away angrily. Professor Snape must be very angry.
Professor Snape's face was very grim. He first looked around and found that everyone in Slytherin was in the common room.
"Aren't you all hungry?" Snape's voice was icy, his expression stern. "Leaving without even having lunch!"
The little snakes blushed crimson, wanting to retort, but seeing Snape's frosty Snape, they all fell silent.
Of course they were hungry; they had worked all day and hadn't even had a hot meal.
However, even if they were extremely hungry, they would not go to the restaurant to eat those delicious dishes; it was their last vestige of dignity.
After a long silence, just as the atmosphere had calmed down to midnight, Professor Snape spoke up, "Since you don't want to eat in the dining hall, then we'll eat in the common room!"
"???"
Everyone was stunned, unable to believe their ears, their mouths agape, staring at Snape in disbelief.
Snape felt a chill run down his spine from their stares. He frowned and sneered, "Are you deaf? I said we'll eat in the Slytherin Common Room. Get ready now, I'm eating here with you!"
At this moment, if someone were standing outside Slytherin Common Room, they would surely think that an explosion had occurred Slytherin Common Room. The excited cheers were like waves, one louder than the other, and even the three houses in the dining hall could hear the Slytherin's excited shouts.
Lester stared wide-eyed at Professor Snape in disbelief. He never expected that this old bat would show such humanity!
The excited students, disregarding Professor Snape's infamous reputation, surged towards Professor Snape, shouting "Long live the Headmaster!"
Professor Snape looked at his excited students, maintaining a deadpan expression on the surface, seemingly calm, but in reality, he was almost in tears.
Finally, Severus Snape was adored by so many students!
Just as Snape was fighting back tears of emotion, he suddenly felt his body lighten, and when he looked closely, he realized that he had been lifted up by the little snakes!
"What... what do you want?!" Snape panicked.
"Long live the Headmaster!" The little snakes ignored Snape, formed a large circle, and tossed Professor Snape into the air.
"Put me down right now!" Professor Snape also had his pride, and even though he was enjoying himself, he still scolded him.
Unfortunately, the voices were all too loud and strained, Snape's bland, slow tone couldn't attract any attention. So, Professor Snape could only silently Accio around the Slytherin Common Room.
Gradually, Professor Snape stopped pretending, removed the Occlumency from his mind, and for the first time, a genuine smile appeared on his face.
He hadn't truly laughed since Lily died, but now, he was genuinely happy.
