Wizarding World, Lester Is Back
"My God, is this what Professor Snape looks like when he smiles? It's really creepy!"
"Yes, could you please stop Professor Snape from laughing? I'm a little scared!"
"Professor, may I take your picture? My neighbor is a vampire, and I'd like to take a picture of you smiling so they can see my power."
Snape: "..."
Seeing the Slytherin surrounding him, pointing and commenting on him as if he were a monkey show, Snape's hard-won sense of gratitude vanished instantly.
"What are you all standing there for?!" Professor Snape said slowly and harshly, his face dark. "I said, now, eat your food, understand?!"
Seeing Professor Snape's anger, the little snakes scattered like frightened birds, muttering, "That's right, that's the smell! It scared us to death! I thought Professor Snape had lost his mind."
Snape: "..."
Gradually, the House-elf from the kitchen appeared in the Slytherin Common Room with delicious food, their enticing aromas captivating everyone.
The little snakes, no longer as lifeless as before, were happily decorating the scene, chatting and laughing.
Even Lester briefly set aside his dissatisfaction with Dumbledore and joined in the revelry.
This day was both the saddest and the happiest day for all Slytherin; they had a great time in the Slytherin Common Room.
Even the usually expressionless Professor Snape eventually downed a few bottles of liquor, got a little tipsy, grabbed Marcus's hand, gave him a bear hug, and murmured, "Lily, I missed you so much! You have no idea how much pain I'm in right now!"
"Lily, it's been so many years! Your hands have gotten so rough. Wait, Lily, when did you grow a beard?!"
Marcus: "..."
Damn it, he's holding himself in his arms while talking about someone else. Is this what men are like? Marcus gave Snape a look of utter disdain.
Lester was also very happy. He drank a few bottles of beer, but didn't get drunk; his cheeks were flushed.
He didn't go to play with Malfoy and the others, nor did he go to drink with Marcus and the others. He just sat on his leather sofa, smiling as he watched the happy young wizards in the lounge.
He knew that the young wizards of Slytherin had already submitted, and that he could truly expand his influence in the next term.
Time flies, and before we knew it, the day of parting had arrived.
The Slytherin snakes bid each other a reluctant farewell in the common room, while Malfoy, like a busy little bee, kept moving among them, handing out invitations.
"Lester, do you have time during the holidays? We're hosting a banquet at the Malfoy Manor, and I'd like to invite you!"
"Probably," Lester said, without giving a definite answer.
He didn't plan to have fun during the holiday; instead, he intended to make good use of it to expand his influence.
Before, when I was in school, the Azkaban Interest Group lacked top-notch combat power. Now that I'm back, I can finally lead talented people to accomplish great things.
"Alright!" Malfoy was a little sad, but in the blink of an eye, he cheered up again, because standing outside the door was a pretty little girl, none other than Hermione from Gryffindor.
"Hermione, here you go, this is an invitation. You must come during the holidays!" Malfoy forcefully shoved the invitation into Hermione's hand and then excitedly ran off.
This whole stunt left Lester speechless. Malfoy is Malfoy; he'll seize any opportunity to flirt with a girl.
While Malfoy was excited, Lester quietly packed his luggage. It wasn't much, just his wand and his personal clothes. As for the bedding, he could leave those things in his dormitory; no one would steal his blankets.
After packing his luggage, Lester followed the Slytherin crowd and slowly walked towards the gates of Hogwarts.
By this time, quite a few young wizards, dragging their suitcases, had gathered in groups of three or five at the main gate.
Lester saw Harry, who was staring at his toes with a bitter expression, already fretting about his winter break.
Beside him, Ron Weasley looked smug and loudly proclaimed his achievement of giving Gryffindor score of 100.
However, upon seeing Lester and Malfoy, he immediately hid like a mouse seeing a cat.
Ron Weasley believes that Malfoy challenged him to a wizarding duel, but he hasn't accepted the challenge yet. Ron thinks Malfoy must have forgotten, so he's always avoiding Malfoy to prevent Malfoy from remembering.
Looking at the fearful Ron Weasley, Malfoy exclaimed from the bottom of his heart, "Idiot."
Lester also saw Neville. Unlike before when he was all alone, Neville was now Gryffindor star. Even the older Gryffindor were crowding around Neville, wanting to befriend Neville.
The younger students only care about whether they can add points to the House, but the older students aren't stupid. Neville is someone who can defeat Professor Quirrell in one move. Even though Dumbledore didn't give him any points, his strength is obvious to everyone.
"Lester!" Neville saw Lester too, waved to him, and Lester smiled back.
The students from both houses made no comment. One was the leader of Slytherin, and the other was the strongest student in Gryffindor. Even though the two houses had a long history of animosity, they naturally dared not object to these two big shots making friends.
Another half hour passed, and the familiar whistle of the Hogwarts Express sounded, causing all the students to erupt in cheers.
One by one, they boarded the Hogwarts Express, dragging their luggage and tirelessly searching for their cabins.
Lester didn't need to look for one, because thanks to his classmates, he had his own private box.
Sitting in the chair in the private room, watching the scenery rushing past the window: jungles, plains, rice paddies, and even Muggle farmers working in the fields.
The train passed through one Muggle town after another, and the towering buildings there drew gasps of amazement from the young wizards.
Malfoy arrived with his men, but after a brief chat with Lester, he hurriedly left.
Lester knew that, given Malfoy's character, he was either chatting with Hermione or bullying Gryffindor.
After an unknown amount of time, the speeding Hogwarts Express gradually came to a stop.
Finally, the train stopped at Platform Nine and Three-Quarters at King's Cross Station.
Stepping off the train, Lester spotted Hafiz, Sang Biao, and the others in the distance, all smiling as they welcomed their boss's return.
Lester smiled, dragging his suitcase, and strode outside.
" In the Wizarding World, I, Lester Bide, have returned!"
