Dinner
As usual, everyone's tables were piled high with food, and it was a variety of cuisines from all over the world, including French, Japanese, fast food, Italy, Mexican, and so on.
The same old dishes were served to Su Yu. Knowing Su Yu's tastes, the Egg Beater didn't change the food, afraid that his young master wouldn't be used to it. Daphne was cutting steak for Su Yu and occasionally feeding Kurama a bite, which made Kurama so comfortable that he kept shaking his longevity lock.
Fa-jie and Ka-jie ate the classic French appetizers in front of them: escargot and foie gras, plus a seafood tartare. From time to time, Egg Beater appeared on the table to make soup, main courses, meats, and desserts.
"Excuse me, do you still want this bouillabaisse?" Just then, a clear voice interrupted Fa-jie's meal.
Fa-jie Fa ignored the unfamiliar voice. It was Ka-jie looked up, glanced at the person, and then said, "Alright, you can take it away."
"Thank you." The girl said somewhat cautiously, carrying the plate back to Ravenclaw.
"She's a Veela?" Ka-jie turned to Fa-jie and said.
"Oh? How did you figure that out?" Fa-jie didn't say much more.
"You can tell from Ron's expression. And you didn't understand what I meant. What I mean is, we already have a French Rose, and a Black Rose at that, so I don't need to say anything more, right?"
"Why didn't you say so sooner! I should have killed her when she arrived!" Fa-jie realized what was happening and glared at Su Yu with an unfriendly expression.
"How did this get dragged into this? I didn't do anything! I'm innocent!" Su Yu protested, determined to give her a good spanking tonight!
At this moment, Minister Fudge and Minister of Physical Education Bagman arrived, followed by Minister Ministry of Magic International Cooperation Barty Crouch. The three of them sat down together. Because of the bet they made last time, Minister Bagman had completely become Su Yu's lackey. He had no money to repay Su Yu and had been beaten and threatened by members of the Shadow Compass Society, so he had no choice but to sell himself into slavery.
Headmaster Dumbledore gave a grand introduction to the three, and everyone applauded in welcome. Only the group from the Japanese Mahoutokoro scoffed and let out a cold laugh.
"These three individuals, along with the principals of our eight colleges, will form a judging panel to make fair and impartial judgments on each team!"
Headmaster Dumbledore continued.
"Next, it's time for the Hogwarts Academy to choose its own Champion. Do you see this grand trophy in front of me? That's the Goblet of Fire. Students from all houses except Slytherin Academy who wish to participate and meet the requirements can write their names and house on a piece of paper and drop it in. Tomorrow night, Halloween night, it will choose the person it deems most suitable to represent their house in the Eight-Way Championship! You have 24 hours to vote. Remember, each house only has two representatives!"
"Finally, I want to emphasize again that this Eight-Way Championship are no joke; there is a possibility of injury or death. Don't vote carelessly, because once you vote, you have to stick with it to the end. The Goblet of Fire will punish anyone who breaks their promise, so think carefully! This is my advice to you all! One more thing, Sue Fuli, please submit your list of 14 chosen people to me by tomorrow night. Thank you."
"Oh! I'll be the first to put my name in!" Fred announced loudly, but George silently beat him to it and put his name in first.
"You damn thing!" Fred punched George, and the two of them ended up on the ground, wrestling.
"Su Yu, where do you think they're going to stay tonight? I don't think our professors have prepared a place for them to sleep." Hermione and Ginny finished their meal and ran over to the Slytherin table, pulling Su Yu aside to ask curiously.
"Who cares? Let them sleep wherever they want. If you ask me, we can just set up a tent at the entrance and make do." Su Yu hadn't finished eating yet, chewing on his steak while rambling on and on.
"Don't listen to Su Yu's nonsense. They sleep in their own vehicles. Every time they come here, it's quite a spectacle. It just so happens to be their rest area, and it's all enlarged with expansion spells." Daphne paused in her steak-cutting motion and said.
"Oh, I see. I thought they'd come to our dorm. I was worried for nothing." Ginny patted her small chest and breathed a sigh of relief.
The next day, Saturday morning, the Hogwarts students gathered in the Great Hall, as if by prior arrangement, eagerly awaiting the vote on who would participate in the Eight-Way Championship.
"Has anyone voted yet?" Hermione asked the students who had arrived earlier than them, as she dragged Ginny to the hall early in the morning.
"Yes, on the Ravenclaw side, Cho Chang and Olivia cast their votes early this morning. Besides the Weasley twins from last night, Gryffindor hasn't had any other candidates yet, and the same goes for Hufflepuff."
A little while later, Gryffindor's Lee Jordan, Haha, cast his vote along with the Weasley twins. Then, Ravenclaw's Fawcett and Hufflepuff's Summers also cast their votes during breakfast.
Harry, Ron, Dean, and Seamus didn't vote because they knew they weren't capable enough to participate in such an event. Hermione and Ginny didn't vote either; one wanted to study and felt it was a waste of time, and the other wasn't old enough to vote.
Seamus was still there mocking Hufflepuff, that handsome Prefect, who certainly wouldn't risk his good looks.
Speak of the devil, and he appears! Cedric, surrounded by a group of badgers, arrived in the hall and tossed a slip of paper with his name on it into the Goblet of Fire. The Hufflepuff students around him cheered. Cedric knew in his heart that if he didn't throw it, Hufflepuff probably wouldn't even be able to find two spots.
Angelina Johnson, the Quidditch Seeker from Gryffindor, also put her name into the Goblet of Fire, which surprised Hermione and Ginny.
"I put my name in too, which is cool, right?" Angelina said with a laugh.
On Halloween night, when Su Yu led the Slytherin students into the Great Hall, it was almost full of people, and the surroundings were brightly lit with candles. The Goblet of Fire had also been moved to the front of the stage, right in front of Headmaster Dumbledore's seat.
