Original timeline

Bibi Dong became Pope of Spirit Hall after killing Qian Xunji, though she considers her hurried, incomplete devouring of his soul insufficient revenge. The Sky Screen’s alternate history rekindles her desire to reach that other time and space, replace her younger self, and make Qian Xunji suffer. 3

In her own timeline, Qian Xunji confined her, forced her to bear a child, and separated her from Yu Xiaogang. The trauma left her deeply hostile toward Qian Xunji and dismissive of the child as an “abomination.” 46

The Sky Screen changes her priorities. She orders Spirit Hall to seal Sunset Forest after learning of the Icefire Yin Yang Well, hoping immortal herbs will accelerate her rise to the pinnacle. 13 After Qian Renxue and the Worship Hall strip the well of key herbs, Bibi Dong accepts the political loss, coerces Dugu Bo into joining Spirit Hall in exchange for treatment, and absorbs the Mingluo Nether Spider Lotus herself. At seventeen, Bibi Dong is Spirit Hall’s gentle Holy Maiden. Qian Xunji publicly strips her title, expels her from Spirit Hall, and trades her future to Lu Xuan for two 110,000-year Arctic Ice Crucian soul bones. Lu Xuan’s disciple-acceptance system evaluates her at SSS-rank. 10

Although initially hurt and reluctant, she accepts Lu Xuan as her teacher rather than remain under Spirit Hall’s control. He gives her a ring soul tool, gold soul coins, a 100,000-year soul bone, and access to the Icefire Yin Yang Well, rapidly replacing her lost sense of belonging with dependence on him. 11 12
