The Flash and Deathstroke fought to stop Steppenwolf from emerging into Los Angeles, but missiles blasted the building apart and the Mother Box inside Victor opened a Boom Tube. Steppenwolf called for the Mother Box as 37,000 Parademons poured through, leaving the heroes facing an overwhelming invasion.

• The Flash rescued civilians and found Deathstroke wounded while Steppenwolf forced his way through a portal from Apokolips.
• Deathstroke threw his greatsword to the Flash, who struck Steppenwolf and then hammered him with rapid blows from the Speed Force.
• The Flash used Steppenwolf to intercept two incoming missiles, then carried Deathstroke out before the building exploded.
• Victor's Mother Box left his body and opened a Boom Tube, while its light on Victor's forehead turned blue.
• Steppenwolf ordered his forces to seize the Mother Box and kill everyone as 37,000 Parademons poured through the passage.

Victor saw a vision of Darkseid approaching Earth through the Mother Box and helped close its passage, but Parademons pursued him, Barry, and Deathstroke. As the three fought off the attackers, Wonder Woman, Diana, arrived and joined the battle.

• Victor used the Mother Box to glimpse a ruined future and saw Darkseid looking toward Earth before he mostly closed the passage.
• Barry carried Victor and Deathstroke away from the pursuing Parademons, but laser fire wounded him and left him exhausted.
• Deathstroke and Victor fought the Parademons while Victor secured the Mother Box to his back with mechanical arms.
• Parademons bypassed Deathstroke and Victor to attack Barry, and one shot him in the shoulder.
• Diana arrived, trapped a Parademon with the Lasso of Truth, learned it sought destruction and battle, then killed it and charged into the swarm.

Miao Mu encountered Constantine in Hell, where Constantine had died and was bargaining with the First of the Fallen using a modified soul contract. Constantine sent Miao Mu back to Gotham with a Bible and the contract, which bound itself to Miao Mu and left him facing Hell’s attention.

• Miao Mu found Constantine arguing with the First of the Fallen over a Hell Soul Contract that gave Constantine thirty hours of freedom.
• The First of the Fallen attacked Constantine, but the contract shielded him, and he gave Miao Mu a Bible and the rolled-up contract before sending him back to his bedroom.
• Miao Mu woke in Gotham as the contract’s markings re-formed and its clauses transferred onto him.
• Miao Mu realized Hell’s unseen watchers had turned their attention to him and threw the Bible out the window, cursing Constantine.
• In Hell, Constantine shuddered, checked behind himself, and said he would take a knife for Miao Mu.

Miao Mu discovered he could reach into Hell through Hell's Soul Scroll just as Parademons invaded his villa. He and the Justice League fought back, and Miao Mu ended the chapter wielding a Hell-enchanted shotgun against the attackers.

• Miao Mu sensed he could open a portal to Hell, but Parademons crashed into his villa before he could try.
• Victor fought the Parademons, hid the Mother Box in a refrigerator, and reinforced it with a Parademon's remains.
• Wonder Woman charged into the invading army and cut down Parademons with her sword and shield.
• Miao Mu sent a Parademon in his bedroom plunging into Hell, where it was destroyed.
• Miao Mu enchanted a Remington M870 shotgun with Hellfire and blasted another Parademon apart.

Miao Mu, Barry, Deathstroke, Jason, Victor, and Diana fought off Parademons attacking the house as the invaders began to retreat. After the battle, Diana asked Miao Mu if he was the person she had heard about.

• Miao Mu blasted a Parademon outside the broken second-floor window with his enchanted shotgun.
• Barry and Deathstroke killed a Parademon in the living room, then Barry ate biscuits while Deathstroke searched for replacement gear.
• Jason helped Deathstroke find equipment behind the bar and used experimental submachine guns to fire on Parademons breaking through the kitchen.
• Deathstroke armed himself, threw grenades toward the kitchen, and charged outside with a greatsword to fight the Parademons.
• Miao Mu jumped down from the second floor as the red lights in the sky began to dwindle, and Diana drove back nearby Parademons with her Guardian Silver Bracers.
• Diana asked Miao Mu if he was Miao Mu, and he confirmed his identity while saying he had met Wonder Women from other worlds.

Miao Mu resurrected Constantine and transferred his debt to him, then sent him through the Dark Multiverse to the Marvel world. Constantine arrived at an altar where Dormammu’s dark energy overwhelmed the surrounding sorcerers and triggered Earth’s Three Sanctums.

• Miao Mu used the Mother Box, a Bible, and a key pendant to restore Constantine’s body while First of the Fallen waited for him in Hell.
• Constantine emerged from the pool, and Miao Mu made him sign a contract that transferred the debt to him.
• Jason used the Hyper-Adapter to send Constantine into the Dark Multiverse, where he was dragged through the multiverse toward another world.
• Constantine appeared on an altar in the Marvel world as black-robed sorcerers chanted to the King of Darkness.
• Dormammu’s dark energy surged across the altar, activating Earth’s Three Sanctums and their magical barriers.

Miao Mu and the Justice League searched for Steppenwolf while investigating Lex Luthor’s disappearance and the plans on his computer. Victor discovered a damaged robot that connected him to Tony Stark in another world, but the contact overloaded Victor’s systems.

• Deadshot and Zoe ate breakfast while Gotham’s television stations and newspapers promoted Oswald’s family history and superhero ventures.
• Miao Mu and Batman documented Oswald’s media campaign in Amnesty Bay, where Aquaman’s image and statue were tied to Oswald.
• Barry told Miao Mu that Los Angeles was empty and that he could not find Steppenwolf, though a Parademon attacked him.
• Diana told Miao Mu that Lex Luthor had disappeared and that Victor had found plans concerning the Justice League on LexCorp’s computer.
• Victor contacted a damaged robot in the digital world and received a message from Tony Stark asking him to find Miao Mu.
• The connection flooded Victor with data, and Diana saw smoke rising from his head as his systems overheated.

Miao Mu challenged Arthur to fight Batman, wagering that Arthur would join them to save the world if he lost. Batman defeated Arthur, and Miao Mu asked him to help visit his hometown and offered to find him a wife.

• Miao Mu bet Arthur that Batman could beat him, promising to reveal a secret about Arthur's origins if Arthur won.
• Arthur agreed that if he lost, he would join Miao Mu and Batman, and he charged Batman outside the bar.
• Batman used heated Batarangs, sharp defenses, and explosives to overcome Arthur's strength.
• Arthur threw Batman into the sea, but Batman fought him underwater and knocked him unconscious.
• Miao Mu revived Arthur with pirate rum and asked him to travel to his hometown, offering to find him a wife.

Victor learned that Lex Luthor was in Star City and returned to reality just as Parademons attacked. He and Diana fought the attackers, but more Parademons surrounded them after Victor was blasted through the building.

• Tony explained that Lex Luthor had taken the JARVIS Special Edition and sent Victor a hidden code locating him in Star City.
• Victor emerged from the digital world with his head in a bucket of ice water, which Diana had used to cool him down.
• Victor told Diana that Lex Luthor was in Star City, then shoved her aside when a suited man revealed himself as a Parademon.
• Victor drove the Parademon into the ground, but more than a dozen Parademons burst through the windows and one blasted him through the building.
• Diana tore off her business suit to reveal armor, ripped a Parademon in half, and charged the others with its body parts as weapons.

Diana and Victor fought Steppenwolf at LexCorp Tower, but he extracted the Mother Box and nearly killed them. Superman arrived in time to save Diana, then overwhelmed Steppenwolf and drove him into a desert crater.

• Diana and Victor fought off the Parademons on the top floor of LexCorp Tower.
• Steppenwolf appeared behind Victor, seized him, and extracted the Mother Box despite Diana and Victor's attacks.
• Diana fell through the tower's glass wall and used Miao Mu's emergency ornament, allowing Superman to catch her.
• Superman returned Diana to the roof, punched Steppenwolf through the tower, and carried him high into the sky.
• Superman hurled Steppenwolf into the desert and struck him with a final blow that created a vast crater.

Miao Mu celebrated the end of Steppenwolf’s threat, helped Arthur Curry prepare to meet Mera, and left with Batman for Star City to investigate Lex Luthor. There, Luthor activated a machine that transported his laboratory between worlds, where Magneto greeted him and asked about the Everyone Project.

• Miao Mu told Arthur Curry that he would have to win Mera over himself and offered to teach him how to charm women.
• Miao Mu asked Batman to take him to Star City, where Brucie’s ship would arrive and they could investigate Lex Luthor’s plans.
• Batman welcomed Arthur Curry to the Justice League and gave him a communicator badge before flying to Star City with Miao Mu.
• Lex Luthor had J'onn operate a machine powered by immense energy to bore through the barrier between worlds.
• The machine transported the laboratory from Star City to another world, and Magneto entered to ask Lex Luthor about his Everyone Project.

Brucie reunited with Miao Mu, and they investigated the energy device in Lex Luthor’s abandoned base. The device pulled them into the Marvel world, where they appeared in the Punisher’s home and faced his gun.

• Brucie arrived at Star City Harbor and reunited with Miao Mu, who told her LexCorp had collapsed after Lex Luthor disappeared.
• Miao Mu took Brucie to Lex Luthor’s underground base, where they found the laboratory missing and the energy device still active.
• Miao Mu connected the device to Dormammu’s energy, and it transported him and Brucie to another world.
• Miao Mu and Brucie appeared in the Punisher’s home in Hell’s Kitchen, where the Punisher shot Brucie’s aluminum-can dart before she pointed an obsidian scimitar at his throat.

Miao Mu and Brucie subdued the Punisher, Frank Castle, and learned he was waiting for Deadpool before raiding cultist hideouts. Wade arrived with Hawkeye and Colossus, but fled in the van when Miao Mu called out to him.

• The Punisher attacked Miao Mu and Brucie, but Miao Mu broke through a cabinet and overpowered him.
• Miao Mu identified the Punisher as Frank Castle and explained that he had come from another world to find a missing bald man.
• The Punisher told Miao Mu that Deadpool had called him gay, prompting Miao Mu to demand Wade's address.
• The Punisher invited Miao Mu and Brucie to join a raid on cultist hideouts, and Miao Mu agreed.

Clint Barton, Miao Mu, and the others survived a truck crash while discussing Dormammu's growing influence over Earth. After Miao Mu's Dormammu energy attracted a powerful signal, he ordered the group to take him to Avengers Headquarters and alert Doctor Strange.

• Clint steered the delivery truck into a box truck, and Colossus, Domino, Deadpool Wade, and Clint survived the crash with varying injuries.
• Miao Mu arrived, helped free Wade from the console, and shoved him into a trash can to settle an old grudge.
• Colossus explained that the group planned to destroy cult hideouts, and Wade said a demon was guiding cultists and helping Dormammu surround Earth.
• Black energy rose from the Punisher's house, and the Dormammu energy Miao Mu had taken began increasing rapidly, marking him as a target.
• Miao Mu told the group to take him to Avengers Headquarters to find Tony Stark and to notify Doctor Strange, as a fast-moving, smoke-belching car approached.

Miao Mu used Dormammu’s energy to stop a cultist’s armed car, then Tony Stark contacted the group and sent them toward L6 Base while fighting an Extremis-infested attacker. The group left in the Punisher’s Humvee with JARVIS, heading to meet Tony and Professor X.

• A cultist drove a weaponized car toward the group, and Miao Mu wrapped it in asphalt and crushed it using Dormammu’s energy.
• Tony Stark’s empty Mark Armor arrived and showed the group a weakening barrier around Earth as Dormammu’s energy invaded.
• Tony appeared on the display while fighting a crimson creature infected with the Extremis Virus, and he directed Miao Mu’s group to L6 Base.
• JARVIS told Colossus and the others that Professor X was waiting at L6 Base, and the Punisher drove them there in a Humvee.
• JARVIS sat in the Humvee’s front passenger seat and explained that the pose was meant to make him appear confident and in control.
