Loki did not give up on attacking Chen Xu because of this.

Chen Xu was somewhat surprised when he saw the Destroyer stop attacking. This was not like the Loki he knew. The next second, an incomparably frigid chill emanated from the Destroyer. A layer of ice armor formed over its body, and the extreme cold even slowed the movement of the surrounding molecules to a crawl.

Chen Xu sensed a stronger energy fluctuation from the Destroyer, but this energy carried an incomparably frigid aura. Then Loki's furious roar came from within the Destroyer.

"Mortals, I will now let you experience the consequences of blaspheming the gods."

Chen Xu smiled calmly. This was the Loki he knew. However, he did not feel any fear because of it. Just as he was about to gather his power and destroy the Destroyer in one blow, dark clouds suddenly filled the sky as thunder and lightning rumbled. Thunder dragons churned ceaselessly within the black clouds. Then, a massive bolt of lightning brimming with life force enveloped Thor. The previously dying Thor instantly regained his vitality and divine power, picking up Mjolnir once more.

Thor had returned, clad in silver armor, draped in a red cape, with that same foolish look on his face.

"You're from Kamar-Taj?"

"That's right. Chen Xu of the New York Sanctum."

The moment Chen Xu finished introducing himself, Thor charged forward with his hammer.

Thor first sent the Destroyer flying with Mjolnir. As it soared into the air, he spun Mjolnir, and in an instant, an enormous storm appeared in the center of the town, filled with countless dancing bolts of lightning. The Destroyer was swept straight into the sky. Loki controlled it and continuously fired terrifying energy lasers at everyone, but Thor blocked every one of them. Thor swung Mjolnir, bringing down devastating thunderous power upon the Destroyer. A burst of white light exploded forth. Everyone except Chen Xu shut their eyes. The Destroyer was directly destroyed by Thor, and the immense storm vanished as well. Thor descended from the sky.

Jane rushed over at once, throwing herself beside Thor and staring at him in astonishment.

"This is what you originally looked like?"

"Yes. Wait here for me. Once I deal with my brother, I'll come back for you."

The moment Chen Xu heard that, he knew his chance to go to Asgard had arrived. He immediately stepped forward.

"You mean Loki?"

Thor turned to look at Chen Xu. He had noticed Chen Xu before, often seeing him in the coffee shop, but had assumed he was an ordinary person and had not paid much attention to him.

"You know Loki? Who are you?"

"Chen Xu of the New York Sanctum."

"Ancient One of Kamar-Taj's Supreme Sorcerer?"

"Yes."

"If you're going to deal with your brother, his illusions will be troublesome. Perhaps I can help you."

Chen Xu suppressed the excitement in his heart and spoke cautiously.

Thor did not hesitate for long before nodding in agreement.

"Fine."

If it had been the Thor of the past, he might have refused outright. As Odin's son, he had believed that nothing could stand in his way. But the current Thor was no longer the Thor he had once been. His youthful arrogance and unruliness had gradually faded, and he was transforming into an outstanding leader.

Thor shouted directly toward the sky.

"Heimdall!"

But Heimdall had long since been frozen by Loki using the Casket of Ancient Winters. Yet before the ice had fully sealed him away, he heard Thor's call. A tiny crack appeared in the ice covering Heimdall, then rapidly spread until it finally shattered.

Those two soldiers were truly unlucky. As soon as Asgard's new king took the throne, he sent them here to guard Asgard's traitor.

How could two soldiers possibly be a match for Heimdall? In just a few moves, Heimdall knocked them to the ground. He hurriedly inserted the Sword of the Guardians into the Bifrost. On Earth, Thor saw no movement in the sky and felt puzzled. Chen Xu was also extremely nervous. In truth, he could guess that Loki was behind this.

"No way. After all this effort, we were just about to reach Asgard. Don't tell me it's going to fail like this."

"Could it be that Thor didn't hear him?"

"Impossible. Heimdall's eyes can see through everything in the universe. He knows I'm calling him."

"Then why isn't there any response? Could Loki have...?"

Before Chen Xu could finish speaking, the sky stirred. A terrifying force directly tore through Earth's barrier and descended upon Thor and him.

Chen Xu successfully entered the Bifrost.

"So this is the legendary Bifrost?"

Chen Xu looked at the multicolored energy barrier around them and wanted to reach out and touch it.

Thor immediately became anxious and said to Chen Xu.

"Don't touch anything carelessly. Be careful not to fall out of the space tunnel and become lost in the void of the universe."

Chen Xu was startled. He knew Thor was not trying to scare him; it was true. Thinking of the scene he had once watched in Thor: Ragnarok, when Thor and Loki had been cast out, sent a chill through him. He silently withdrew his hand.

Before long, the two arrived in Asgard. Thor looked at Heimdall, who had been wounded by Loki's Gungnir.

"Chen Xu, help me look after him first."

"Alright."

As soon as his words fell, Thor headed straight for the center of Asgard to find Loki. Naturally, Chen Xu had no intention of being left behind, so he found an excuse.

"Are your injuries severe? Are you alright? How about I help you to the royal palace in the center for treatment?"

Blood trickled from the corner of Heimdall's mouth, but he did not answer Chen Xu. Chen Xu took it as acquiescence and directly used magic to fly Heimdall toward the central palace. By the time Chen Xu and Heimdall arrived at the palace, Thor and Loki were already fighting. Loki wielded Gungnir, continuously firing energy beams capable of piercing through anything, while Thor kept swinging Mjolnir. Chen Xu noticed a noble-looking middle-aged woman anxiously watching Loki and Thor as they grappled with each other.

There was no need to guess. This middle-aged woman was Odin's wife, Asgard's queen, and the mother of both Thor and Loki: Frigga.

She truly wanted to separate the two of them, but she feared hurting either of them and did not dare make a move. When she saw Chen Xu supporting Heimdall, her eyes lit up, and she immediately walked over.

"You're Thor's friend, aren't you?"

"Chen Xu of Kamar-Taj. Greetings, Your Majesty."

Chen Xu bowed to the queen. It was a standard sorcerer's salute.
