Background / History

Lin Ye was an ordinary man from Earth who had been binge-watching Marvel films before suffering a heart spasm and awakening in a desert during the early period of Tony Stark's Ten Rings captivity. Facing immediate execution, he bound the God-Tier Choice System and chose the reward that granted him the Rumble-Rumble Fruit. He destroyed the Ten Rings convoy, freed Tony Stark and Yinsen from the vehicle, and took the Mark I blueprints and a miniature Arc Reactor before departing. 1

After reaching Manhattan, Lin Ye activated the AI Remy, established a legal identity, and began monitoring global anomalies. He refused Natasha Romanoff's initial attempt to assess him, making clear that he knew S.H.I.E.L.D. and would not accept being tested or watched. 2 3
