Appearance
Divine Power Crystals are black crystals that radiate a distinctive, frightening divine-power aura.
- Standard crystal blocks are approximately one centimeter in diameter and weigh ten grams each. 32 36
- Their pressure can be sensed at a distance and was strong enough to alert nearby First-Circle Wizards when Lohr absorbed one in his laboratory. 33
- Large quantities produce dense fluctuations that other apprentices can track; carrying 126 grams made Lohr “like a beacon” to nearby competitors. 36
- Spatial rings can block their detectable fluctuations. 43

Divine Kingdom Exploration Tournament
Divine Power Crystals were scattered throughout the Dark God's Divine Kingdom, often at burial sites or amid the remains of defeated apprentices. Their fluctuations allowed Lohr to locate deposits, but also exposed anyone carrying substantial quantities. 34 35 36
Lohr used his superior spells to drive away or kill competing apprentices, then gathered crystals abandoned in their flight. He prioritized areas with the strongest fluctuations and avoided weak deposits that required detours. 35 36
As his stockpile grew, the crystals became increasingly difficult to manage. Carrying more than fifty grams made other apprentices flee with their own crystals before he could reach them, while the strength of his own aura interfered with his ability to sense more distant deposits. 46
Lohr later entrusted a bundle of crystals to Levan's camp before seeking spatial equipment. After obtaining a ten-cubic-meter spatial ring, he stored 197 grams inside it and collected further crystals from the battlefield. 46 48
