Mash hesitated for a moment before speaking, "But the Heroic Spirit who bestowed my Spirit Base... didn't tell me anything."
Bai Ming said, "Is that so? Don't worry, he'll definitely come to save you when you're half-dead."
"Doesn't Senior saying that make it even more worrying?" Mash couldn't help but retort. "That's a puppet for simulation battles. However, the current simulated Heroic Spirit Summoning can only summon Servants who have been recorded in previous Holy Grail Wars."
"It doesn't matter, this kind of fake summoning is worse than doing it myself."
As Bai Ming spoke, he reached behind his head, took out the Jade Purity Supreme Brick, and threw it directly at the training puppet. With a thump, the puppet's head shattered under the brick's attack. Bai Ming then waved his hand, recalling the brick.
"Eh? Eh? Where did Senior get this thing from? And how did this brick fly back on its own?"
Bai Ming spread his hands, "Just a little trick to recall a magic tool. My battle is over, so, go ahead Mash."
As soon as he finished speaking, Bai Ming directly pushed Mash in front of the newly regenerated training puppet.
Mash looked at the training puppet rushing towards her with a look of panic, then summoned her pre-set virtual Servant and began a battle with the training puppet, completely without any command.
After the battle, Mash fainted due to her inability to adapt to some unknown stimulus from the simulation battle. Bai Ming then carried Mash on his shoulder like a head of cabbage and walked towards the medical department with an unrecognizably swaggering gait.
In the Chaldea control room, Olga Marie's heart was pounding.
After the simulation battles, these Master candidates were about to undergo the Spirit Transfer test.
Although she didn't quite understand why Da Vinci suddenly wanted to reinforce and modify Bai Ming's frame, Olga Marie felt relieved considering Bai Ming's behavior was quite different from normal people.
Even reinforcing and modifying wouldn't take too much time, and the Spirit Transfer test could be successfully completed today.
She looked expectantly at the squinting man beside her, who was wearing a dark green trench coat and a dark green hat.
This was the Grand Assassin, the Grand Blind Man, Lev Lainur Flauros, the creator of Chaldea's near-future observation lens "Sheba," and the person Bai Ming had always been wary of.
"Lev, there definitely won't be any problems, right?"
"Yes, don't worry, Director, there absolutely won't be any problems."
Although he didn't know what madness had possessed Bai Ming to suddenly reinforce his frame, for Lev, any amount of reinforcement wouldn't help these Team A bastards escape disaster. At best, it would just take him more effort to plant more bombs within Bai Ming's frame.
"I can see that the Director is very concerned about this matter, but rest assured, I am here."
Lev's somewhat gentle and considerate words slightly relaxed Olga Marie's tense heart. Olga Marie said, "Yes, with Lev here... I feel very at ease."
Meanwhile, Da Vinci, who was reinforcing the frame, was internally complaining. It was clearly herself who was reliable, wasn't it? Lev was just standing by and watching.
After a series of clanging noises, Da Vinci stopped with satisfaction, "Alright, the work is finished. You can now call the people who have tested the simulation battles to come and wait."
"Okay."
Olga Marie's expression became even more serious, and she immediately sent someone to relay the message.
Time ticked by, and all 47 Masters had arrived. Two were still missing, but Olga Marie didn't intend to wait any longer and began the meeting. During the meeting, one late Master finally arrived, but they immediately fell asleep.
Olga Marie looked at the forty-eighth Master sleeping right under her nose, her patience wearing thin. She thought, It's one thing for Bai Ming to not give me face, but who do you think you are to not give me face either!
She immediately woke up the forty-eighth Master, Fujimaru Ritsuka, and kicked them out.
Meanwhile, Lev was feeling very conflicted due to Bai Ming's absence. Should he detonate the frames of these Team A members or not? If he detonated them and one escaped, wouldn't his planted bombs be wasted if he didn't?
At this moment, Bai Ming, after the simulation battle, first returned to his room to retrieve two books, then hid in a room with Roman, eating strawberry shortcake and watching Magical☆Mellry's online scam live stream.
After Bai Ming devoured the strawberry shortcake on his plate, Roman finally couldn't help himself, "Um... isn't it time for the Spirit Transfer test? Is it really okay for you, as part of Team A, not to go?"
Bai Ming indifferently wiped his mouth and said, "What if there's a problem? I think that Olga Marie is reckless, Olga Marie is unintelligent. She stammers and can't say a word when she sees me. It's better not to go than to go, to save her some face. And besides! Even if I went, I'd still get scolded, right? Do I look like someone who would endure it? It's only because of her beautiful red legs that I didn't punch Olga Marie right then and there."
Just then, the door to the room opened.
The slacking duo turned their heads to look at the red-haired girl who entered, then exchanged glances.
"Yo, another slacker has arrived." Bai Ming immediately got up, walked over, and enthusiastically welcomed Fujimaru Ritsuka in. "Come, there's another piece of cake here, let's watch the online scammer's live stream together."
Bai Ming's words, however, made Roman retort, "I told you, Mellry isn't an online scammer, why don't you understand?"
Fujimaru Ritsuka, who was being enthusiastically treated, didn't know what to do for a moment. They could only awkwardly introduce themselves first, then sit between the two to watch the live stream on the Servant monitor.
Then, with a boom, the control room exploded.
Lev felt that he should still detonate it, and he shouldn't not detonate it just because of that scoundrel Bai Ming.
After the explosion, Bai Ming first laughed a few times, then pretended to cry.
"Wuwuwu, Director, you died so tragically!" Bai Ming flipped through his books. "Let me see which Taoist technique can take away the Director... Ah, here it is, the Soul Summoning Incantation, the Soul Seizing Incantation."
The bewildered Fujimaru Ritsuka felt like they had stumbled into somewhere incredibly important.
Chapter Twenty-Two: Kachi-Doki Off
The control room was engulfed in flames.
When Bai Ming, Roman, and Fujimaru Ritsuka arrived at the control room, Roman quickly ascertained the situation.
"...No survivors, only Chaldeas is intact. It looks like this is the point of explosion, not an accident, but deliberate destruction. What do you think, Bai Ming?"
Bai Ming looked around and said, "It seems Da Vinci isn't here, so I'm relieved."
"So Da Vinci is the only one in your eyes?"
"Is this the time for sarcasm?!" Fujimaru Ritsuka was greatly shocked, but still followed the topic, saying, "That—who is Da Vinci?"
The broadcast voice announced again that the power system had been destroyed and that the backup power needed to be turned on manually.
Roman spoke, "...I have to go to the underground power plant. You two, get out of here quickly."
With that, Roman hurried away.
Amidst the raging flames, Bai Ming's expression changed from his usual playful grin to one of intense seriousness. "There are still survivors here. I'll leave my dear junior, Mash, to you, young high school girl. I'm going to drag out some guys who aren't quite dead from their pods and finish off anything that needs to be killed on the spot."
"I... I understand!"
Although Fujimaru Ritsuka was a little scared by the scene before them, they still agreed.
"Oh, and when you see Mash, tell her that if Galahad keeps pretending to be dead and not helping, Joslin will settle the score with him for choosing death when he met the Holy Grail."
"Yes!"
Fujimaru Ritsuka began searching the sea of fire for anyone who might still be alive.
At this moment, the broadcast voice sounded again.

"It's burning."
Bai Ming watched the reddened Chaldeas as he walked to Akuta Hinako's spirit pod. A brilliant golden light emanated from him as he grabbed the pod's door with his bare hands. Veins bulged, and with a roar from Bai Ming, the spirit pod's door was ripped off by Bai Ming.
In contrast, Bai Ming's hands were bloody, but he didn't stop. He directly sprinkled the blood into the face of the person named Akuta Hinako within the pod.
"You damn gloomy old maid, you talked too much and got yourself sent to Team A. Now you want to pretend to be dead and sleep? Get your ass out here and work overtime!"
Akuta Hinako opened her eyes and immediately cursed, "You bastard!"
Others might have been seriously injured, but Akuta Hinako definitely wouldn't be. This troublesome woman, Akuta Hinako, wasn't human at all. She was an elf who had lived since the Qin Dynasty. In fact, some of her attack methods involved self-destruction and then reforming her human shape.
Lev's bombs were mere child's play to Akuta Hinako.
"I don't have time to argue with you now, shut-in. Hurry up and help. Look at Chaldeas, it's as red as the sun, you know how bad the situation is."
Akuta Hinako looked extremely reluctant but obediently chose to help Fujimaru Ritsuka. Bai Ming, completely ignoring his bloody hands, took out the Pojun Divine Lightning Halberd and, using the power of the Pojun star, completely smashed Beryl's spirit pod.
Bai Ming put away his halberd, directly grabbed Beryl's corpse, and threw it into the fire, cheering, "Woohoo!"
Fujimaru Ritsuka thought Bai Ming was crazy. Mash, with her head bleeding and in a weakened state, said to Bai Ming, "Senpai, the quarantine wall... it's closed... we can't get out..."
Fujimaru Ritsuka didn't know what was going through their mind, but before Bai Ming could answer, they spoke, "Yeah, we're the same."
"Then I'd rather just sleep in the pod!"
Akuta Hinako felt terrible, while Bai Ming looked at Mash, his tone flat, "Galahad, I'm telling you calmly for the last time. My patience is limited. Come out and work."
A faint golden light began to emanate from Mash.
The next moment, purple Spiritron Dress attached itself to Mash's body, and her injuries vanished completely. A purple shield appeared in Mash's hand.
"Is it that legendary knight... Mr. Galahad, who lent me his Spirit Base?"
The broadcast voice sounded again.
[Spirit Transfer requirements met. Master's HP within the pod has not reached the baseline value.]
[Spirit Transfer does not meet the required number of participants. Searching for eligible Masters.]
[Eligible Master found.]
[Re-planning in progress, Anti-Summoning System activated, Spirit Conversion commencing.]
[3—2—1]
[All procedures complete. First Spirit Transfer commencing.]
The four people in the control room began to undergo Spiritonization, commencing their first transfer.
"Bai Ming."
Akuta Hinako found herself beginning to Spiritonize and said calmly, "Fuck your mother."
Bai Ming let out a long sigh. "Sigh, the pathetic state of a gloomy, shut-in, self-abusive woman pretending to be seriously injured and sleeping after her shell was broken."
"Um... shouldn't we stop arguing for now?"
As soon as Mash finished speaking, the four of them vanished from the control room.
January 30, 2004
In the burning city, Olga Marie, dressed in a black uniform and red stockings (tights?), ran frantically.
And behind this red-stockinged director was a swarm of Dragon Tooth Warriors.
Olga Marie possessed excellent leg strength, much like the leader of the Iron-Blooded Orphans, Orga.
Under the singing of "I have nothing I want to win," she ran non-stop, so much so that these Dragon Tooth Warriors couldn't keep up with Olga Marie.
The sound of "kaki datsu tai" felt somewhat familiar to Olga Marie, but with her life on the line, she didn't have time to think about whose voice it was. However, under the song, Olga Marie felt her running pace quicken by a few steps.
"What the... I'm actually running pretty fast..."
Seeing the Dragon Tooth Warriors far behind her, Olga Marie couldn't help but feel proud. Just then, she tripped on a small stone, rolled a couple of times on the ground, and the Dragon Tooth Warriors immediately caught up.
Olga Marie's mind was in chaos; she couldn't even properly process what had happened.
"Why! Why are you chasing me!"
"Because you have Vitamin C syrup?"
"Bai Ming! Cough cough... Bai Ming, come save me quickly."
Olga Marie was overjoyed, but considering the Director's (non-existent) dignity in front of Bai Ming, she put on a serious face.
"Let me see..."
Bai Ming waved his hand, sketching a magic circle: "Descend, severed thoughts, divine death, resurrection; capture soul, return soul, eternal no fall."
With that, Olga Marie floated directly towards Bai Ming's location.

Chapter 23: My Dearest Olga Marie, It's Time to Make a Ruckus Following My Lead
"Phew~ Safe!"
Olga Marie let out a long breath, then looked at the Dragon Tooth Warriors who had heavily surrounded the still somewhat intact building, feeling a sense of dread. She then looked at Bai Ming and asked with some anticipation, "Spiritron Dresser... was successful, right? What kind of magecraft was that, to move my body directly?"
Bai Ming sat to the side, completely unbothered by Olga Marie's appearance of having narrowly escaped death.
