Background

In Tang Wulin's original timeline, Gu Yue froze herself away to save him. Her apparent death devastated him and became the driving reason behind his return to the past. Tang Wulin later resolves that he will not allow her to bear such suffering alone again 1 7 15.

Gu Yue arrives at Eastsea Academy after missing its registration period. Wu Changkong offers her admission if she can defeat Tang Wulin; she accepts and introduces herself without showing any recognition of him 15.
